After eight years of consistent releases, forward-thinking Sydney bass and electronic producer Hydraulix has announced his debut album Imposter Syndrome will arrive this September. In tandem with the album announcement, the producer has shared the LP’s lead single, ‘Waratah’ alongside Latin Grammy Award Winning and Grammy Nominated producer Nitti Gritti. Sydney based fans of Hydraulix having the first chance to hear his the debut album, as he announced the Global Album launch in Hydraulix’s home town of Sydney at Max Watts this June long weekend Sunday 13th. Supported by an incredible local lineup, Hydraulix getting together some of the countries finest in electronic, with Party Thieves, WAFU and Ian Munro joining for the show. 

His new single and first album offering ‘Waratah’ is brimming with sharp musical twists and turns that boast prime elements from Hydraulix and Nitti Gritti’s respective styles. The ferocious cut opens with on an eerily peaceful note, shrouding the track behind a false sense of security. Before long, ‘Waratah’ devolves into trap mayhem as sirens and heavily distorted bass announce the tone shift. The production takes a drastic turn at the drop when the over-the-top buildup cuts out for a singular shrill synth commands centre stage. The springing top melody pairs well with the sporadic and grandiose percussion, making for an unexpected and
unparalleled experience that sets an impressive standard for the rest of Hydraulix’s full LP.

After a career spanning the better part of a decade, Hydraulix is ready for his biggest artistic venture yet with his forthcoming debut album.
