This November and December, with support from Create NSW, Yulli’s Brews and RØDE,Spunk Records and Dinosaur City Records are taking their labels’ combined local rosters and friends return to their roots to perform, educate and engage with the communities in which they were raised, inspiring the next generation of young musicians across New South Wales. Artists including Jack Ladder, Big White, Body Type, Shining Bird, Steve Gunn (USA), Floodlights, Flowertruck, Sunscreen, Lachlan Denton and more will be performing ten shows down the coast from Bellingen to Mona Vale, Wombarra to Wagga Wagga.
We are close to the halfway mark (and biggest weekend) of the tour, having completed three shows so far including our sold-out launch at Marrickville Golf Club on November 9, a big bush party at Murrah Hall last weekend and a sunset show at Cooma Bowling Club on the Sunday.
This weekend, we’re heading to Body Type singer/guitarist Annabel’s hometown of Kiamaon November 22 (only 15 tickets left), Shining Bird’s hometown of Wombarra for Hometowns Coalchella edition on November 23 (we’ve just added 50 extra tickets on for anyone who missed out, but be quick – only 10 left now!) and Mona Vale, the birthplace of Jack Ladder and Liars’ Angus Andrew, on November 24. More information on the events and individual line-ups below.
We’ve made a playlist featuring all of the bands on the Hometowns tour, including Big White, Flowertruck, Liars, Sunscreen, Shining Bird and Emma Russack, plus supports including Babey, e4444e, Poison Abbey and more. Next week we’ll be in Bermagui and Cooma, followed by Kiama, Wombarra and Mona Vale, Newcastle and Bellingen, Narooma and Wagga Wagga.

Pure gold – listen to Skydeck’s debut album Eureka Moment
We’ve had Skydeck’s debut album on repeat the past couple of weeks – one of our favourite albums to have come out this year blending lo-fi bedroom pop with pricky post-punk and new wave. If you happened to miss it, it’s not too late.
Listen on Spotify, or buy a limited edition gold cassette via Bandcamp.
