On Saturday 26 October, over 50 incredible artists descend on Fortitude Valley in a celebration of fashion, art, food, music and entertainment for an unmissable FREE event. With under two weeks to go, pencils are at the ready with the release today of The Hidden Lanes Festival music timetable!
Illuminating the 80 businesses that call California, Winn, Bakery,Lucky and Little Valley Lane home, are some of the most exciting live acts in the country. Held across nine stages from 10am until late, the musical charge will be lead by the explosive Wollongong four-piece, The VANNS and enchanting Melbourne-via-Wollongong singer-songwriter, Tyne-James Organ.
Kicking things off bright and early, The Lanes will be the place to be for a morning coffee accompanied by the tunes of SAEM, Liv Heyer, The Lighthearts and Moon Saloon. After a brilliant bite of lunch, the musical entertainment will keep flowing with the smooth sounds of Budjerah Slabb, The Oogars and more, before the official Welcome to Country by Songwoman Maroochy.
Following afternoon performances from the likes of Georgie Nielsen & the Growing Pains and Catalano, Gold Coast groovers Dream Coast and recent AWMA nominee Ella Fence are right on time for the coveted sunset slot. After a spot of dinner at one of The Lanes’ incredible cafes and restaurants, there will be no post-dinner lethargy in sight, with the delectable tunes of Pink Matter, the palate cleansing jazzy sounds of Demon Days and the galvanizing guitar pop of Cry Club. Audiences will then be eased into the evening by the ethereal melodies of Greta Stanley and Tyne-James Organ. Followed by raucous Brisbane garage punks Concrete Surfers and The VANNS, punters can dance well into the night to DJ sets from the likes of RA, LXXX and James Rigby for the party-goers.
In addition to the abundance of live music, visitors to the lanes can immerse themselves in a multi-faceted range of experiences on offer as part of the festival’s discovery trails– the fashion & beauty trail featuring fashion events, the tour and self-guided walk on the the art & design trail, the heritage tour, the food & wine trail and the market trail featuring The Best of The Lanes Markets with plants, home wares, ceramics, fashion, art, vintage clothing on from 10am until 4pm.
