How did you start?
Me and Eli Wimmer (vocals & guitar) always wanted to form a band, but because we lived in different cities due to college we couldn’t. Once I moved back to Norman we quickly started writing songs together and formed a band shortly after.
Where are you based?
Right in the center of the US in Norman, Oklahoma.
Please give an example of your music writing process?
All kinds of different ways, but for our newest album we kinda worked in shifts. Like I would work on it early in the day and then when I’d have to go to work Eli would come takeover and work on it for a while.
What are you working on right now?
We are currently about to release our sophomore record in October called Melter.
What is your gear setup?
Lots and lots of pedals and loud amps!
What do you like to do outside of music and does it affect your music?
Painting, working on old cars, screen printing, long walks on the beach.
Yes, totally! It allows you to use your creativity on something else and not get too caught up in over thinking the music.
How would you describe your music genre?
Psych Rock…
Do you know any music theory?
Yes, I went to music school at the University of Central Oklahoma.
What are your plans for the future?
Play a buncha shows and record some new songs soon.
How did you get into music?
Two of my best friends in middle school played so they got me into it and then everything kinda just took off from there.
What are you listening to at the moment?
Frankie and the Witch Fingers, Pond, Kendrick Lamar, The Black Angels, Ty Segall, Thee Oh Sees.
