“Stroll” is the second single from Gratis Minds upcoming EP BLUR. It is a song that looks at monogamy and the general struggles that modern day couples face. Featuring the very gifted singer/songwriter Bronte Eve.
“Stroll” gives three different perspectives that together draws a picture of young love and attachments, the struggles of letting go and feeling good enough in yourself to move on. Originating from the sunny beaches of Northern NSW, Gratis Minds is comprised of JK-47, Jon Doe and Jay Orient. Three extremely capable wordsmiths with a penchant for laid-back beach driven hip hop, they met in a coffee shop sparking up a conversation about a Joey Badass mixtape in 99′ and the rest is is musical history.
The boys have been busting 2018 wide open with the release of their last track “Up Again” Featuring vocals from JK-47 alongside some influences from Earl Sweatshirt, J Dilla and Flying Lotus, selling out their hometown launch and featuring on the line up of Brisbane Hip Hop Festival Scenario alongside hip hop legends Ziggy Ramo, Resin Dogs, Jesswar plus many more.
Its no doubt these boys have a natural ability to crowd please and the talent to put together chill, smooth beats mixed with outstanding lyrical flow that creates an alternative-rap sound.
