We’re already halfway through the year, how’s 2019 been for you so far?
yes 2019 is crazy!We can tell you that at the beginning of January, we never imagined what is happening today for GoldStone.
As an act that’s pretty new onto the scene, please can you tell us a bit about yourselves and the Goldstone project?
I met Manu in a music shop,he bought a drum and I helped him to put it in his car then we discovered that our own studio were very closed in Paris. So we have lunch every day together and one day he listened my demo of « All I Know » and he wanted to do something better with it.
Where are you guys from?
We are from Paris,10 eme arrondissement canal st Martin and we love our bloc.
Can you tell us a bit about the music scene there?
The music scene in France is very active. A lot of young artists are coming out now! Orelsan is fat and -M- still a big French Artist working with so many internationals stars. And of course,Daft Punk,Breakbot,Cassius,Justice….
Your new single ‘All I Know’ on Wagram Music is dope! Can you talk to us a bit more about the single?
The melody came on a little groove composed on a yukulele. You can hear it alone with the voice at the beginning of the tracks.
Do you each have different roles in the studio?
Yes both of us have a studio! We can say that Manu is more producer and me more musicien! But also he can compose and I can produce.
How did the introduction to Wagram Music come about?
We know Wagram for a long time. The boss Stephane Bourdoiseau likes the tracks and said let’s go for it very quickly. Merci Stephane.
The music video has already surpassed 120,000 views on Youtube. That’s crazy considering it was only released a week before this interview…

Loving the video! Whose idea was it to shoot the video in South Africa?
Manu said we need kids in the song and we need kids in the video, then,I show him a fb video I flashed on and he flashed on too!
In terms of inspiration, which artists are you digging the most right now?
Right now we love Toro y moi,Anderson paak…
If you could work with any artist, alive or otherwise, who would it be?
Both of us are really crazy about Prince.
As a new act, how hard has it been to break into the scene and what advice would you give to any budding producers thinking of doing the same?
We think that we are very lucky to be on the radio and we know how difficult it is to exist with your own music! Still believe in your work!

A EP is coming out with the 3 remix
