Within Glasgow’s illustrious music scene, Big Miz developed his creative pursuits as a producer and a DJ taking inspiration from the cities most popular nightspots. Growing a following playing at the Offbeat party series at La Cheetah nightclub, his early releases on notorious record label Dixon Basement Jams placed him alongside Glasgow’s industry elite, Denis Sulta and Fear E, artists who also appear on the Glasgow record label.
Most widely recognised for his 2017 track ‘The Bomb’, Big Miz produces dance floor ready electronic music, drawing influence from early Chicago and Detroit house. His most recent album, ‘Build/Destroy’ released in 2018 is a two-part project that perfectly encapsulates his signature sound, weaving through big percussive breaks, consistent rhythms and swelling synthesizers. Fresh from playing FLY Open Air Festival and Lovebox earlier this year, Australians gear up to welcome the return of Big Miz over 3 headline shows.
