As a surprise to no one, we are again taking over GD FRNDS’ home of musical diversification, Miami Shark Bar on Sunday 26 August. Here, we proudly present our newly founded auditory and visual environment.
Our curated lineup is pieced together from acts both local and abroad. Leading the pack is the Gold Coast’s new hot ticket item, Lens. The five-piece have crafted their own psychedelic language, which lingers in both abstract and obscure new sounds on ‘Time Orchard’.
Once strangers to this Queensland coastal town, they’ve now become fretful to return. Adelaide’s Neon Tetra are back again—now equipped with their ‘Pollen’ EP—to eschew new dynamics of Motown, soul and psych. AAA Backstage named them 2018’s best new live band. Enough said.
Filling the local quota, the ambitious Clawmachine and Echowave will also join our night of psych exploration. While both acts began as solo experiments in their respective bedrooms, they’ve gone off to expand their live experience into a mysterious, instinctual affirmation of focus, fun and clarity.
