London-based DJ and producer Alex ‘Kiwi’ Warren has forged a solid reputation for himself over the years. His genre-defying DJ sets, which see him skilfully blend balearic, disco, house, Detroit techno and everything in between, have led to residencies at XOYO and The Nest, and he’s had releases on highly acclaimed imprints such as DFTD, Optimo, Moda Black and 17 Steps.
This phenomenal output has garnered support from big names including; DJ Harvey, Gerd Janson, Andrew Weatherall, Daniel Avery, Erol Alkan, Optimo, Rob da Bank, Annie Mac and Skream.
2018 has already been a big one for the DJ Mag nominee, with a string of releases gaining notoriety on the likes of Moscoman’s Disco Halal and a new one for 17 Steps, as well as a return to Correspondent and releases on Cin Cin and Toy Tonics to come. With imminent plans for a label of his own, and his uncompromising ability as a selector earning him a solid reputation across Europe, Kiwi is one to watch.
