Where are you currently based?
I’m currently based between Cannes (France) and Geneva (Switzerland), but thinking about moving to LA for a while to work on some music.
Please tell us about your upcoming collabs, who will you be working with?
There’s a really cool collab coming with a friend of mine… Nicky Romero, so stay tuned. I’m also working on a couple other collaborations, but I can’t say much for now…
How did these collabs come about?
There’s always other artists you are in contact with and you just send ideas back and forth. Once we both really like something we get into the studio and just try to crack it. Eventually it led to something great, we believe…
What influences your music?
In the beginning I was really into hip hop music, I found the attitudes of the artists really impressive. Later on, when I was about 16, I switched to electronic music.
How did you get into playing music?
When I was around 13 years old, I wasn’t that confident and noticed DJs were. So, at first I started to become that cool guy behind the deck and I happened to fall in love with it !
Where and how did you learn your skills?
By constantly being busy with music, producing and learning from others with online tutorials, forums… I think the best thing is to be able to criticize yourself and to handle criticism in the first place. I got a lot of feedback from my friends or co-DJs and different views and ideas really help you get better.
You played Tomorrowland earlier this year, what was the highlight of playing Tomorrowland?
It was an extraordinary experience, it was my second time playing there but it keeps being magical. I was invited by my friend Laidback Luke, and I’m very grateful for that. It was special because I only played my tracks (and a lot of unreleased music), and it was actually the first time in my career I was able to play a full set with only my music.
Did the show go as expected?
It was even better than I expected, to see all my fans from all over the world, that will always be overwhelming in a good way. The crowd was so excited and I don’t think you can ever expect what a crowd will be like, so I’d say it really went better than expected. Definitely one of my favorite shows.
You’ve also recently played 2 shows in India, what is it like touring and playing in India?
It’s interesting when you’re touring all around the world and you can sometimes tell the differences in the cultures. But when it comes to music I think it’s a universal thing and it doesn’t matter where you are, people are there to see you and hear your music live. In India it was the same thing, you feel the energy from the crowd and it were two great shows and I’m already looking forward to coming back in India.
What were the challenges if any of playing in India?
I don’t think there were any, I love playing for all these different people around the world. It was epic.
Who are you listening to at the moment?
I listen to so many different genres, styles and artists… It’s hard to just mention one name!
What do you have planned for the future?
There’s some really cool and interesting stuff coming up, new music and lots of other great things I can’t tell yet. Stay Tuned!
Favorite food and place to hangout?
I really love food and that’s one of my favorite things about touring the world, you can taste all these different cuisines! But if I would have to pick one I’d say sushi!
