FEATHER TOUCH RELEASES ‘NEED YOU’ OFFICIAL VIDEO

Sydney-based tropicalyso-disco producer, Feather Touch, is back with a gripping new single, ‘Need You‘. Grittier than previous releases, ‘Need You’ sees the artist move towards a fuller sound while staying true to his multi-instrumental skills and distinctive voice.

With some time in the limelight, ‘Need You’ has received love from big tastemakers including triple j, AAA Backstage, The AU Review, Wickedd Childd, Futuremag Music and more. Feather Touch is excited to release the official video for ‘Need You’.

Placed at Feather Touch’s own studio in Surry Hills, the space offers a moody and laidback vibe to the already sun-soaked tunes. It offers a brisk view at the artist’s blossoming live set.

“The video gives a great taste of my set up when I play live,” explains Feather Touch. “I get on the keys, drum sticks, pads and guitars to back up my singing and try to get as many natural sounds into the performance.”

“The video was filmed at my live stream and music video space, Brooklyn at Hiberninan. We had a great support crew and the amazing musician, Kilo, helped out on the video.”

The song is built from the unmistakable co-production and mixing of Haxx (Kult Kyss, Yeo, King IV). Brash with processed synth strikes, it’s complemented finely with Feather Touch’s grotesque vocal processing, arabesque ululation, plucky synth modulations and intriguing percussion. The pairing makes for a congruous, natural formation of indie-dance that’s, at once, innovative and progressive.

Feather Touch—real name Lachlan Stanley—broke personal boundaries to feature his own voice, complementing the production.

“For this song, I really put aside my insecurities about singing and avoided being self-conscious on the structure as much as possible,” explained Stanley. “I was really surprised by how much of a pop song it turned out to be.”
