Where are you currently based?
I’m currently based in London
How did you first start playing music?
I learned how to play the piano by ear at age 4 but stopped when I was 10 or 11. Than at age 15 I
got interested in DJing and also started making first beats shortly after!
Who are you listening to at the moment?
I mainly listen to Disco Records and a lot of new and old Rap and RNB. Artists like Kanye West,
Tom Misch, Kendrick Lamar, Goldlink…
Favourite place to play in the world and why?
I really like playing in France, that’s always fun. Among my favourite gigs was R2 Rooftop in
Marseille last summer… 🙂
You recently recorded your EP ‘A Friends Story” featuring tracks inspired by the stories that you
have come across, and the friends that you have made during your time in London. How did this
concept come about?
I love collaborating with People from different genres and I feel like my move to London last year
has thought me so much about music and life in general. Before moving here I was visiting
maybe twice a year and that was just always so much fun and inspiring. There’s so much talent
in this city and everyone is so open minded to new ideas and to meeting new people. I think one
of the reasons why that is the case is that a lot of people that live here moved to London for the
same reason: to pursue their passion. I feel that makes it also very easy connect on a personal
level. That’s why it felt very natural to try to capture that feeling and spirit in the form of a musical
project!
How do you usually put songs together lyrically and musically? What is your process?
I normally like to start with either a simple drum groove idea or with chords.
Where and when did you record ‘ A Friends Story’?
I recorded all of the songs in my studio here.
What is your favourite track from the EP?
I can honestly say that I don’t have a favourite one – I made around 60 songs within the last year
so the tracks on the EP are all special to me.
How have your friends reacted to being apart of your songwriting and recording?
It was so much fun writing and recording the tracks and we had a magical moment in the studio
in each of the sessions… Good times!
What do you have planned for 2018?
I wanna keep on releasing much more music this year and also plan a tour for this summer!
Favourite food and place to hangout?
There’s a really nice coffee place in my neighbourhood called “Friends of ours”. they have great
coffee and food and I go there whenever I can 🙂
