Where are you currently based and what is the music scene like there?
I’m currently based in London and the music scene there is incredible. I’ve moved here just for this reason , the scene is very friendly and I’ve made a lot of new friends since moving here – I love it.
One of my Favourite Venues to discover new artists is Ronnie Scott’s bar. They are Showcasing unsigned UK talent on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of every month at an event called Ruby Sings.
Tell us about your new track ‘Talk to Me’ where and when did you record?
We recorded my latest single “talk to me” in my studio here in London earlier this year. we finished the song in one afternoon and had such a good time making it!
What was the inspiration behind the sound and songwriting for the track?
My main goal when making music is always just to have fun together and create something meaningful we all enjoy.
Why do you think it’s so important for today’s culture to be more open sexually?
Even more than being open sexually I think it’s really important to be accepting of other people and their sexual orientations, preferences and way of life in general (unless of course it harms other people)
I’m really happy to be living in a society where that is possible and I think its very worrying how in some parts of the world this is not an option.
What’s the funniest sexual experience you’ve ever had?
One experience comes to mind which involved a hotel pool on new years eve but that’s all I can tell you…
How did you first start playing music?
I started playing the piano when I was around 4, 5 years old. I learned playing by ear back then and actually never learned how to read notes. Later on I became interested in DJing and making my own songs.
Who are you listening to at the moment?
At the moment I’m listening to a lot of new RNB singers like Olivia Nelson, James Vickery and Amber Simone but I also love 70’s Disco and 2000’s house a lot!
What programs/equipment do you use when recording and playing live?
I mainly use Ableton!
What do you like to do away form music?
Away from music I enjoy reading, doing sports and checking out some new art or food locations.
What do you have planned for the remainder of 2018 going into 2019?
I’m currently finishing my upcoming EP and I’m also working on a little side project at the moment which im very excited about.
Also, I’m returning to The Magician’s POTION records this year with another release together with The Aston Shuffle that I can’t wait to show you…
Favourite food and place to hangout?
My favourite food has to be Italian or Japanese! Favourite place to hang out is my local coffee shop called “Friends of Ours” in Hoxton, I love the coffee and people there!
