Where are you currently based and what is the music scene like there?
I live in Dublin in Ireland, well actually recently just moved into a farmhouse just outside Dublin and I love it! It’s very peaceful and a perfect setting to write music.
What have you been working on recently?
Currently writing an album, it’s been a dream of mine and I finally feel like I’m at a level to do it!
How did you first start playing music?
My Dad taught me the guitar when I was a kid, and I was in a band in my teens.
Your new single ‘She Won’t Let Me Down feat. Leo Stannard’ is out now via ULTRA Music, what influenced the sound and songwriting for this track?
I met up with Leo and I showed him these piano chords and he came up with this hook (‘She Won’t Let Me Down’). We loved the idea of turning it into a sad song, from the point of view of someone who is in denial about a relationship.
How was it working with Leo Stannard?
Was great, Leo is the man!
Who are you listening to at the moment?
Kacey Musgraves’ album ‘Golden Hour’ – I like to try listen to music outside of what I make. So I’ve been listening to a lot of country haha
What do like to do away from music?
It’s so important to try switch off from the music. I do a lot of good things like running and bad things like eating & drinking pints.
What do you have planned for 2019?
Dropping a new song at the end of the month! And a whole bunch of new music to follow
Favourite food and place to hangout?
Cereal & bed combined (whilst watching garbage on youtube)
