Electronic music hub Xe54 is hosting a special Day Party this May featuring Ben UFO, C.Frim, Cassettes For Kids & more. The weekly institution will expand beyond its home in the CBD for a one-off all day event spread across two stages, taking over industrial precinct and urban sanctuary, the Timber Yard.
Marking a significant milestone for Xe54 and Untitled Group, Ben UFO is the first international headliner they have hosted in over a year. Ben UFO has completed his 2 week quarantine, escaping UK lockdowns to headline Xe54’s second day party, having taken over The Wool Store back in 2019.
Located on 6,000 sqm in the Port Melbourne industrial precinct, comprised of both indoor and outdoor areas, The Timber Yard is a landmark Melbourne venue. Xe54 will fit the warehouse with meticulously curated production & set designs. The site has been restored, remaining true to it’s heritage of second hand timber storage and fabrication.
Ben UFO has acquired a deserved reputation as one of contemporary dance music’s most daring and wide-ranging selectors, with his keen ear and razor-sharp technical abilities enabling him to cut between eras, lineages and mixing styles with dazzling ease and fluidity.
