Earlier this year, London-based and British/Icelandic born trio Dream Wife made their triumphant U.S. debut tour, where they were hand-picked as supports by The Kills, and at SXSW, which earned them praise from the likes of NPR, Entertainment Weekly, DIY and more. Now the trio of astrological fire signs are gearing up to release a new EP entitled Fire, and today they share the music video for its title track. Self-described by the band as “Icelandic road trip meets The Craft” and directed by Glashier, the “Fire” extraterrestrial adventure can be watched now via Stereogum.
Dream Wife released their debut EP last year which earned them spins on BBC Radio 1, BBC 6 Music, Beats 1, and KEXP internationally, as well as a full add on triple j for single “Somebody”. Massive support was received from The FADER, Dazed, The Guardian, i-D, NME, and more. The band has also garnered a well-deserved reputation for their exhilarating live shows, having sold out venues across UK/Europe, played festivals such as Iceland Airwaves, and toured with the likes of Sleigh Bells. Over the international festival season, they performed at Blue Dot, Benicassim, Latitude and Truck, and will embark on a headline UK tour in October.
