Arctween is a producer and multi-instrumentalist from Porto, debuting his first release on Forbidden Cuts. This club oriented work presents a breezy but introspective feel, with the predominant use of live drums influenced by afrobeat and disco.
“Shapes and Thoughts” displays an evolving syncopated groove, based of plucky synth sequences, dark bass lines and percussive african rhythms, guiding an exotic journey towards a more frenetic dance floor vibe. “Along The Way” is based of a bouncy drum pattern and subtle piano chords that when combined with the vocals , this deep-house driven track gets conducted into a hopeful tune about love and the search for it.
