“Swan Dive” explores the beauty in triumphing the call of the void while simultaneously acknowledging the alluring nature of the pain that brought you there in the first place. However, when writing the song, my objective was not to glorify mental aguish and the thoughts that follow, but rather to safely ground you once the emotional trip ceases. It is a song intended to assist you on your journey by providing a good angel on your shoulder in the form of my own experiences.
Sometimes, to recover from an enormous amount of pain, all that is required from you is a little faith. So, instead of using substances or other vices as a crutch, let “Swan Dive” take away the edge for a moment. Sit back and let her take the wheel.
