Indie-pop duo BROODS have today shared a new remix of their current single ‘Peach’ from rising UK band Bad Sounds. The remix aptly arrives on the first day of the Taylor Swift Reputation Tour where the siblings will take to the stage as special guests on the AU/NZ leg of her tour. Taking the NZ born, LA-based Georgia & Caleb Nott to Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane Broods will also perform at the This That Festival in Newcastle and the Handpicked Festival in Adelaide.
Of the remix, Bad Sounds shares, “The original already had loads of cool hooks for us to mess around with, so it was low pressure and fun for us. We both got really excited by that main groove when we first stumbled across it so from then on we just got to indulge in scuzzy bass sounds and tough drums for a few days.”
The original version of “Peach” was released in August and reached #5 Most Played on triple j. The single has now surpassed 7.5 million streams worldwide and has been called “a dizzying concoction that somehow blends synth-pop, jangly indie-rock and choral elements” by Idolator. Last month, the band shared the official music video for “Peach,” which Harper’s BAZAAR proclaiming, “If this is a mere glimpse at Broods’ next chapter, we can’t wait to see what’s next.”

Broods also recently played their first Los Angeles show with new music last month to a sold-out crowd at The Roxy. Following the show, Ones To Watch declared, “Electric doesn’t even begin to cover the energy BROODS delivered to a fan-filled Roxy Theatre. On Sept. 26, they returned to the stage for a killer show.” Following the band’s Roxy Show, Broods traveled to NYC to play Neon Gold X, Neon Gold’s 10 Year Anniversary celebration for an “electrifying set” (Billboard).
“Peach” is BROODS’ first single from their third album which is expected early in 2019. BROODS had their breakthrough with the 2014 single “Bridges” from their full-length debut Evergreen. “Bridges” went on to go GOLD in Australia. BROODS released their follow-up sophomore record, Conscious, in June 2016 which debuted at #2 on the ARIA ALBUM CHART and featured another GOLD single “Free” which also hit the top 10 on Spotify’s US Viral Chart
BROODS have played leading festivals like Coachella, Lollapalooza and Outside Lands and shared stages with artists like Ellie Goulding, Haim, Sam Smith, and CHVRCHES over the past few years.
