Emanuel Satie has always been in love with dance music. Studying music in his home city of Frankfurt, and moving to Berlin to undertake an internship at Cocoon Record label, Satie is a self-taught disc jockey/bedroom producer whose immense talent didn’t keep him grounded for very long. His debut EP ‘Fervent’ was a powerhouse introduction into the world of deep house and techno and opened up many doors to the successful career he holds today.

Winning the title of Best Producer under the 2016 DJ Awards, and with a string of releases on notorious labels Get Physical and Moon Harbour, his most recent EP ‘Addis Ababa‘ is a powerful dancefloor-ready project that infuses world rhythms and instrumentation with infectious deep house characteristics. Emanuel Satie is returning to Australia this summer, over 6 sure to sell out shows.

In 2015 Emanuel Satie, the Frankfurt-born, Berlin-based house and techno producer had been steadily picking up steam with straight to dancefloor hits on DTFD, Get Physical and Audiojack’s Gruuv, including a feature in Resident Advisor’s top charted tracks of 2015. He also delivered one of the standout remixes on The 2 Bears ‘The Night Is Young’ remix LP with a deeper houserversion of ‘Get Out’ and a killer Main Room DJ set alongside Groove Armada at Fabric, London.

But things were only just warming up for Emanuel as 2016 has seen a consistent string of successful releases.  His rework of Late Nite Tuff Guy’s remix of DJ Le Roi & Roland Clark’s I Get Deep hit number 1 in the Beatport overall chart and holds strong in the top 5 for 6 weeks.

His latest original production also had notable Beatport chart success, Come As You Are, his debut single on Nic Fancuilli’s Saved Records is currently number 4 in the Beatport Tech House chart.

Emanuel’s list of notable remixes is also growing, with remixes for DJ Sneak & Riva Star on Snatch Records, Hife & Bazaar on Noir, Who Made Who on Get Physical & Shiba San on Suara dropping in the first half of 2016.

Heavy support from Pete Tong on many Satie tracks on his BBC R1  show in the last 18 months lead him to proclaim Emanuel’s track ‘Private Show’ ‘probably my favourite bassline of 2015′. Alongside this, he was picked by Mixmag to feature in their Hot 6 ones to watch. One thing is for sure Emanuel Satie is a name to keep an eye on in 2018.
