“(‘Isic Tutor’ is) paradigm of ethereal neo-soul music (think Sam Smith crossed with The Blue Nile), all gossamer atmospherics, languorous comportment and Dunn’s smooth visceral falsetto.” –  Blackbook Magazine

Today, Australia’s Xavier Dunn is excited to share his beautifully entrancing new EP, Isic Tutor, via 1825 Records/Atlantic Records. Previously, Dunn shared “Warming” and “Isic Tutor“, as well as a Black Summer remix and acoustic version of the EP’s title track.
Made over a 12-month period, Isic Tutor is laced with folk lyricism, catchy pop melodies and elegant arrangements. It’s ambient and expansive. Serene yet somber. And the lyrics and instrumentation are deeply personal. Dunn wrote every line, played every instrument, and recorded every track on the EP. Read Xavier’s track-by-track description of the EP below.
Classically trained, Xavier pursued music at college where he was able to flex his production skills, dipping his toes into more electronic sounds and experimenting with his own music while ghostwriting and mixing for various artists. His acoustic covers led to his online rise, with three HypeMachine #1 positions, a Spotify Global Viral Charts #2 position, a Spotify US Viral Charts #1 position, and a Spotify Australian Viral Charts #1 position for three consecutive weeks.
With over 22 millions Spotify streams to date, Xavier continues to exercise his skills as a producer and songwriter, working with the likes of NGHTMRE & Carmada (Embrace ft. Xavier Dunn), Jack River (Ballroom, Fool’s Gold, Fault Line), Dylan Joel (Run To The River), Set Mo (See Right Through Me), CXLOE (Monster), GRAACE (Kissing Boys), SUPER CRUEL (November ft. Lisa Mitchell), Nina Las Vegas (Deserts), and Jesse Porsches (The Weekend ft. Xavier Dunn).

“a ethereal and haunting creation…there’s something about (Dunn’s) voice and the way it flows with a surreal ease from note to note bonding perfectly with the melodies that gives this track an edge.” –  Wolf In A Suite
“He conquers the filling aspect of sound – fully occupying the space with his voice, yet still later able to sweetly pierce the edges of the track. We can’t get enough of this new variation.” – Ones to Watch on “Isic Tutor (acoustic)”
