SATURDAY APRIL 11TH 12PM-10PM FULL LINEUP: PATRICK TOPPING, SKREAM, MATADOR, ELLIOT ADAMSON, CASEY LEAVER & LOZI Untitled Group & Thick as Thieves have announced today that they are bringing ‘TRICK’ w/ Patrick Topping, Skream, Matador, Elliot Adamson, Casey Leaver & Lozi to one of the most intriguing and large-scale warehouse venues in Australia - The Wool Store. TRICK is Patrick Topping’s record label which has recently seen him curate parties around the globe, including at Printworks in London supported by Len Faki and Roman Flügel, in Amsterdam’s underground Central Station, in Belfast with Amelie Lens & now he is bringing the renowned event to Melbourne this April. After hosting a series of events at The Wool Store, including Solomun, Jamie Jones, John Talabot & Willaris. K, The Wool Store took an indefinite hiatus - now at the delight of music lovers, the space will come back to life again for a series of headline shows. The Wool Store will once again be fitted with a world-class sound system paired with meticulously curated production & set designs. For the Melbourne edition of TRICK, Topping has selected a quality support lineup including UK’s much loved selector, Skream, as well as Dublin born producer, Matador, & house-producer Elliot Adamson. Local support will come from Casey Leaver and Lozi.  Built in the 1940s, the Australian Heritage Commission listed 'Wool Store' is of regional historical, cultural & architectural significance. It is the largest single wool store building in Victoria, built on a grand scale with considerable architectural refinement. It represents a peak of pastoral development when Australia rode on the sheep's back with the wool industry playing a significant role in the development of Australia, carrying it's economy post-World War 2 in what is now known as the 'post-war wool boom'. The venue is an addition to Untitled Group’s fast growing portfolio including Beyond the Valley, Pitch Music & Arts, Wildlands, Grapevine Gathering, and Ability Fest, as well as the company’s established management, booking & label divisions. Thick as Thieves search the globe looking for the most exciting underground artists of today, to bring you the freshest touring roster in Australia.  Sourcing the best local & international DJs, their events create a positive atmosphere that leaves our punters feeling good and doing good. Patrick Topping:  Carving a reputation as the contemporary face of British house and techno, Patrick Topping continues to garner widespread acclaim on account of his prolific production prowess and dynamic DJ sets. Soundtracking countless sunrise memories as resident of Jamie Jones’ famed Paradise parties at Ibiza’s DC-10, Patrick’s now 50-release strong back-catalogue is bursting with iconic dance-floor records on labels such as Hot Creations, Truesoul and Relief Records, with further remixes for Calvin Harris and Booka Shade charting Patrick’s meteoric rise. Armed with an arsenal of career defining productions in the form of the Beatport chart- topping ‘Be Sharp Say Nowt’, Green Velvet collaboration ‘Voicemail’, and 2014’s Ibiza track of the season ‘Forget’, Patrick’s far reaching appeal has seen him play numerous festivals including Coachella, Awakenings, Ultra, and Tomorrowland. As well as completing several tours of Australia, Europe, South America, Asia and South Africa. Patrick has performances confirmed for the year ahead including Movement Detroit, Kappa FuturFestival and for the first time is hosting his own stage a festival, at London’s Lovebox. With Patrick reaching number 11 in Resident Advisor’s top DJs poll, landing three DJ Awards, one DJ MAG ‘Best of British’ Award and becoming one of Mixmag’s cover stars the northern powerhouse now enters a refined and developed chapter of his career. The recent birth of Patrick’s own label, TRICK, has provided a home for the UK artist to exhibit his versatility as a producer, as well as a platform to showcase the wealth of the emerging talent which he has been pushing in his DJ sets. Following the recent finale of his acclaimed Motion event series, the UK producer looks set to take things to the next level throughout 2019. Skream: As one of the UK’s best-loved selectors Skream has enjoyed the kind of consistency most DJs and producers can only dream of. His passion for collecting and playing music is unrelenting; disco, house, techno and everything in between… it runs deep into his core and he lives it every single day. Still only in his early thirties, Skream has achieved more in the last 15 years than most people do in a lifetime, yet his hunger and enthusiasm is akin to that of a man who is only just getting started. Tracks like ‘Rollercoaster’ (ft. Sam Frank) and his remixes of Duke Dumont ‘Need You’ and ‘Infinity’ by Infinity Ink helped introduce the world to Skream’s shift in styles, while his mix output from 2013, cemented the change in direction seamlessly blending a variety of 4x4 styles across all of his tracks. Parallel to these pivotal releases he also showcased his eclectic tastes at his Skreamizm parties across the UK and the rest of the world, and so a new chapter began. Matador: As DJ Awards’ 2016 Electronic Live Performer, Matador is a revolutionary live artist with a shining reputation for versatility, whilst never compromising on quality. Accolades have been showered on the Dublin-born producer, from proud ambassador of the NEVE 5088 Console, and Richie Hawtin’s PLAYDifferently MODEL1 mixer, his tenure as an ENTER resident at their worldwide events, to his consistent spot in RA’s Live Artist poll, bringing him rapid worldwide acclaim and a devoted worldwide fan base of clubbers and peers alike. Still thirsty for new worlds to conquer, Matador, aka Gavin Lynch, recently took on a new role as label boss for his RUKUS imprint. Fontaines D.C. met as a quintet in Dublin, influenced and driven in equal measure by the rich history of their hometown’s counter-culture, their response has been to make concise and immediately authentic indie-punk that has done anything but fall on deaf ears. Their debut album, Dogrel (released in early 2019), spits, snarls and snaps with the very best of ‘em, but it also yearns, like the greatest Irish music must do. Their Mercury Prize-nominated debut earned the band incredibly high praise in the likes of Pitchfork, NPR, New York Times, Rolling Stone and many more. The Guardian even went as far as calling it a ‘perfect debut’.  The band have toured extensively over the last year, selling out their last three UK and EU headline tours, as well as a sold-out US tour. Tickets to Fontaines D.C. go on sale Thursday at 10am local. If their rapid upward trajectory is anything to go by, these tickets will move just as swiftly. Visit handsometours.com for details.   “One of guitar music’s most essential new voices” – NME (★★★★★) “An inspired debut album from a special band” – CLASH (9/10) “By striving to find romance and poetry in grim times, Fontaines D.C. have made a record to fall in love with” – Q (★★★★) “Yes, you do need to see them ASAP” - NME

RADIOHEAD Extensive & Organised Audio, Visual, Physical Archive Live Now At Radiohead.com Each Band Member To Serve As A Librarian For A Day This Week The internet as a whole has never been a reliable resource for detailed or even accurate information re: Radiohead. Many sites that attempted to provide some measure of service have long since gone dark as well. The overall effect has been “Radiohead” search results that yield random and/or abbreviated shards: songs and album titles unaccompanied by detailed artwork or any additional context, low quality videos preceded by advertisements and shuffled via algorithms, and so on… That ends with the unveiling of the Radiohead Public Library. From today, visitors at Radiohead.com will be able to create their own library card and membership number, and access a highly curated and organized archive of the band’s catalogue and corresponding visuals and various artefacts associated with each album: Detailed artwork, official videos, and ad-free HD live and TV performances, B-Sides and compilation tracks, previously out-of-print merchandise to be custom made on demand, band members’ "office chart” playlists from around the time of In Rainbows, The King of Limbs and A Moon Shaped Pool recording sessions, and more.   To commemorate the Library’s opening week, Colin and Jonny Greenwood, Ed O’Brien, Philip Selway and Thom Yorke will each take a turn serving as librarian for a day beginning today, each presenting a curated selection of archival material across the band’s social media channels (as well as their own Radiohead Public Library cards).   Finally, coinciding with the Library’s opening, a number of previously unavailable Radiohead rarities have been made available to stream and download, including the band’s 1992 debut, the Drill EP, 'I Want None of This' from the 2005 charity compilation Help!: A Day in the Life, and the 2011 TKOL RMX 8 remix EP. RADIOHEAD announce Radiohead Public Library

'A mature and thoughtful exercise in leftfield, melodic dance music' - Hyponik ‘An up and coming talent with a penchant for abstract melodic shimmers and a club focussed attitude’ - The Ransom Note Fans of Jon Hopkins' or Bonobo's cinematic electronica will fall head over heels for Juno Mamba’ - Happy Mag 'Not one you want to miss' - Something You Said It is with great excitement that Soothsayer announce Melbourne producer Juno Mamba’s debut EP Light Echoes will be released on Friday 20 March. To mark the occasion, Juno has shared his second single from the EP – the monumental track ‘Blossom’ and has announced two very special headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne next month. Light Echoes is an atmospheric and cerebral EP that was inspired by time, place and emotion. Aptly titled, a ‘light echo’ is an astronomical phenomenon that relates to delayed reflections of light that can allow us to see into the past. Juno Mamba plays with this concept and the big questions it poses, both universally and individually,  “The process of creating Light Echoes ended up being a journey of self-discovery. Trying to get an understanding of the world; past, present and future, and how I see myself fitting within it has always been a constant struggle. How can I contribute positively to this world in what I do, and inevitably leave behind?” Premiered last night via triple j Home & Hosed and via Complex (UK), ‘Blossom’ is an emotionally charged track that builds on the dystopian soundscapes created in Juno’s debut single ‘Flicker’. ‘Flicker’ saw Juno Mamba play with musical intricacies inspired by Japanese architect Tadao Ando’s manipulation of space and light. On ‘Blossom’, Juno Mamba masterfully plays with tension and release, resulting in an electrical surge of a crescendo that propels the track to a new dimension with a firm focus on the club.  “I like taking sounds and layers from songs I've written and incorporating them into others. There's one sound in particular at the end of ‘Blossom’ that was taken from ‘Flicker’. Having these familiar elements in tracks, connects the songs together and reiterates that everything is connected.” 2019 was a tremendous first chapter for Juno Mamba. Within months of its release, ‘Flicker’ has seen global playlisting, airplay on BBC Radio 1, received international praise from the likes of The Ransom Note, ADSR Collective, Our Culture Mag and stereofox and was remixed by renowned Canada-via-Berlin producer Nathan Micay (LuckyMe/Whities). With the release of ‘Blossom’, Juno shows no sign of slowing down in 2020. Light Echoes is out Friday 20 March and to celebrate its release, Juno Mamba will be playing his first headline shows at Melbourne’s Colour and Sydney’s Oxford Arts Factory Gallery Bar. If ‘Flicker’ is the sonic equivalent of a shutter of light, ‘Blossom’ is a supernova explosion. The rest of Light Echoes EP will arrive soon and we can’t wait to share more Juno Mamba with the world. New album due out Autumn 2020 via Because Music / Caroline Australia Los Angeles-based French singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Soko, has released her new single “Being Sad Is Not A Crime,” alongside a  fantastical music video directed by Gilbert Trejo. The song is from her third album, which will be released in the Autumn via Because Music / Caroline Australia. Recorded in New York with producer Patrick Wimberly (Solange, MGMT, Chairlift) and mixed by Chris Coady (Beach House, Slowdive) the track is an honest look at the ups and downs of natural emotions, even the uncomfortable ones.  “Why should we have to pretend smile and put filters on everything?” asks Soko. “You shouldn’t have to apologize for having emotions. As long as you’re not hurting anyone, all emotions should always be welcome. I wrote the song feeling very hopeless, but wanting the music to sound very happy and comforting.” Directed by Soko's friend Gilbert Trejo (Pixies, Diiv, Starcrawler), the clip for "Being Sad Is Not A Crime" was shot at the historic Bob Baker Marionette Theater in Los Angeles. Soko says, “It was my first time not directing my own music video and Gilbert made it an easy transition every step of the way. I had wanted to create something at the Bob Baker Marionette Theater for a long, long time, and wrote the entire treatment hoping they would let us shoot there! It was an important video for me: tackling the struggles between having to keep working feeling like a puppet, but also just wanting to be a mum and take a break for a second." As the title suggests, the video explores the societal pressure to always put on a happy face. But, it also highlights the struggles of being a working mother and the lack of adequate support systems.  In the video, set in a not-so-dystopian-future where emotions aren't allowed and controlled by the government, Indigo Blue, Soko’s baby, joins her at the theater, joyfully exploring backstage, sharing tender moments before she has to return to work. Indigo is wrested from her arms and tucked away backstage watching his mom's performance on a monitor waiting for her to be done.  As Soko has a moment of sadness about this whole situation, the theater is raided by the SAD Patrol. Noting that it was Indigo’s first time in front of the camera, Soko explains, “It was a very special moment captured by a very special friend: Alexis Zabe (Florida Project). He was the director of photography on the video, filming Indigo with so much love. Our babies are the same age and friends since the womb, so it felt very natural and safe and magical to do this project all together.” Soko made her full-length debut with the 2012 album I Thought I Was An Alien, which Stereogum praised as “gorgeous, ethereally plaintive.” The track “We Might Be Dead by Tomorrow” was featured in Tatia Pilieva’s video “First Kiss.” After the video went viral, the song entered the top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 and topped Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart.  Her sophomore album, My Dreams Dictate My Reality, was released in 2015 and landed her on the covers of such magazines as NYLON, Dazed, L’Officiel and At Large, to name a few. The album included such songs as “Who Wears the Pants??” plus “Monster Love” and “Lovetrap,” which featured Ariel Pink. Pitchfork observed, “brimming with nervy, post-punk verse, defiant swagger, and the blackest of humor – [My Dreams Dictate My Reality] feels like her proper coming-out party.” Soko has also collaborated with such artists as Ariel Pink, Beach Fossils, The Brian Jonestown Massacre. She received her second César nomination for her lead performance in the 2016 French film The Dancer. Nix Northwest announces upcoming release of his debut 9-track EP ‘Life’s A Bitch, I Just Need An Early Night’ following two singles from the same project ‘Paradise Pending’ and ‘See U In The Morning’ ‘Life’s A Bitch, I Just Need An Early Night’ delves into the journey of a young man’s search for wisdom of self in a world so abundant with bravado and façades that most people never discover who we truly are. Is there even an absolute truth to our innermost being? Who knows... Many of us get so caught up in who we think we should be that we lose sight of true sincerity of our being. These songs collectively navigate through a young man’s search for a true understanding of his emotions and behaviours, which, in his mind, should lead him to a better understanding of his true innermost self. The Young Wizard represents the man that has gained the wisdom and knowledge of self yet still remains somewhat naïve of the fact that he still very much falls victim to the same bravado and façade put on by everyone around him.

Stuck in the House Burn Saving Face Not a Peep Five Thirty Five Terrible Voices Radio Transmissions This Is My Car It Gets Me Down Hey LIVE DATES: February 4th - The Social - London, UK - TICKETS “…a fresh sound backboned by a reverberating, almost claustrophobic rhythm, and infiltrated with Tatlock’s saccharine, ethereal vocals" - Wonderland Magazine "Fuzzy guitars paired with sticky sweet synths and Tatlock’s signature etherial vocals, her latest solo effort is equal parts Smashing Pumpkins, and St. Vincent – a refreshing burst of pop with integrity that pays homage to her favorite era" - C-Heads "Merging fuzz toned sonic influences from her native London with that of her adopted home of Tokyo, her pitched pop vocal and penchant for 90s indie rock make for perfectly balanced treat" - The Line Of Best Fit "With almost claustrophobic guitar lines and Grimes-esque vocals...a subtle punch of pop princess." - EARMILK "Cream With A K mixes fuzzy 90s-toned indie rock with her deceptively sweet vocal and packs quite a punch” - Born Music Following the release of her latest single 'Saving Face', Tokyo via London grunge-pop chanteuse Cream With a K (a.k.a. Lee Tatlock) releases her debut self-titled album TODAY worldwide. Listen HERE Capturing her 90's influences perfectly with a heady dose of power pop reminiscent of The Pixies and Beck, Tatlock is in a league of her own on her fantastic debut full-length. “The writing of this album started at the end of my J-POP career when I was living in LA and then when I moved to London", says Tatlock. "I basically recorded this record on my laptop over 3 continents so it was kind of like a paper mache until I got in the studio with Alex O’Donovan (OCTAGON) and finalized the mix into something more sophisticated. Sharing this album with everyone, makes me feel a bit shy as if I sharing like a diary of my past self... but at the same time I’m really proud how far I’ve come - with a lot of thanks to all the fans and everyone who’s helped and got involved!” A musician, visual artist and former model, Cream With a K is most well known for her former involvement as the singer in the Japanese Pop band NEKO PUNCH (Universal Music Japan). Having cut her teeth in the entertainment industry in Tokyo, she decided it was time to reconnect with the West through Cream with a K in early 2016, her first fully English project since her start in music. Pulling her influences from her hometown of London, her adopted hometown of Tokyo and pairing them alongside fuzzy grunge tones and etherial pop vocals makes her first solo effort a surefire head turner. Working alongside many noteworthy Japanese producers such as Takeshi Kobayashi, Hydain and Shingo Yasumoto and bilingual in Japanese and English, she also turned her hand to song and lyric writing for other Japanese and Korean artists. In Tokyo, seen as a cultural figure who links the UK and Tokyo Music scenes, she was the TV host of the Japanese Rock music TV Show NHK’s “Nippon Rocks” series. Cream With a K will be returning to the stage next on February 4th in London @ The Social [TICKETS HERE] The self-titled debut is out now. Listen HERE. MOTION BRISTOL ANNOUNCES OVER 20 SHOWS TO BEGIN THE DECADE, MARKING THE START OF A NEW CHAPTER FOR THE CLUB

In Summer 2020, Electric Gardens delivers its biggest and most diverse lineup yet for its 5th anniversary: Half a decade of cutting-edge producers and world-class DJs will be celebrated in Sydney's shining Centennial Park on Saturday 22nd February 2020 including Armand Van Helden, DJ EZ, Craig David Presents T5, Nora En Pure, Gorgon City, Alan Fitzpatrick, My Nu Leng, Pan-Pot, Reinier Zonneveld live, Wilkinson and many more world class DJs and live shows.  Since a game-changing debut  back in 2016, Electric Gardens has established itself as an essential boutique event for electronic music fans across the country. Electric Gardens 2020 continues the event's tradition of presenting top-tier electronic artists and underground sensations; with dazzling stage production, generous set times and a pristine location. It's careful curation that has seen the event become a staple for Australian fans over the past five years, and the milestone is a testament to Electric Gardens dedication to booking exciting electronic talent, while simultaneously steering clear of trend-dependent and novelty acts.  The Electric Gardens 2020 bill is headed up by none other than acclaimed multi-million record selling artist Craig David, who will be bringing his widely-praised TS5 show Down Under. Combining his skills as a DJ and live performer, TS5 sees David fuse seasoned classics with contemporary anthems for a sprawling party set, drawing upon his extensive background in UK Garage, dance, pop and R&B. David's high-energy TS5 set has graced the biggest festivals stages across the globe including Glastonbury, Tomorrowland and will now close out Electric Gardens in riveting fashion after sold out UK and US tour and continued Top 5 UK chart placings for his most recent singles.  Next is US house pioneer Armand Van Helden, who has very much helped define the genres with his vital work on labels like Nervous, Southern Fried and Strictly Rhythm and many more. Always drawing on hip hop, r&b and soul for his sample sources, he has a heartfelt sound with a real sense of groove that has got people dancing for decades, and the big personality continues to be a key player in the global scene.  A longtime crowd favourite in Australia and abroad, DJ EZ will be bringing the UKG a-plenty to Electric Gardens Sydney. Quite possibly the best DJ in the world right now, Elvin is a master selector who has honed his incredible skills on radio airwaves, clubs and festivals for well over two decades. Electric Gardens is also excited to welcome South African-Swiss producer Nora En Pure who will be bringing her ethereal set to the Sydney stage. And after dominating the charts with their recent Billboard Dance #1 singles 'There For You' and 'Go Slow', one of the most in demand acts in the industry, UK duo Gorgon City will be making their highly-anticipated return to Australia. For fans of techno and blistering BPM, Berlin duo Pan-Pot and the esteemed Alan Fitzpatrick will get dancefloors moving while Filth on Acid head honcho Reinier Zonneveld will flex his skills with a punchy live set. Bass enthusiasts will be well looked after, too: Having long established himself as a favourite on the local festival circuit, What So Not will return home to Australia for Electric Gardens Festival, joined onstage by surprise special guests for the exclusive debut of his brand new live set of atmospheric yet heavy tunes. He'll be joined by fellow Australian hero ShockOne off the back of his 2019 album A Dark Machine, as well as UK drum & bass producer Wilkinson, who just sold out the O2, is a regular at Ibiza's iconic Together night and always races through a blizzard of different genres with real skill. His electric set will be complemented with DJ Ad-Apt on the microphone.  The latest additions include Brazil's leading progrssive house pioneer and enduring Kompakt label associate Gui Boratto, who always brings waves of emotions to his grooves, plus Spanish house giant and long time Amnesia resident Mar T, as well as Lucille Croft, Hoten and Ricky Cooper & Andy Ef. The Electric Gardens story begins back in 2001 in the UK, when visiting Australian dance fans Damian Gelle and Anton Marmot threw a backyard party in Walthamstow. Inviting their DJ friends to play and charging a small cover, the intimate gathering was a success, and it eventually evolved into South West Four festival in 2004. That event still attracts well over 70,000 attendees at Clapham Common to this day. Armed with first-hand festival knowledge, experience and connections; the duo returned home to Australia and founded Electric Gardens, with the goal of providing a European party atmosphere Down Under. Five years down the track, the mission is being fulfilled every year, with Electric Gardens blossoming into one of the most essential festivals of them all.  This next chapter of Electric Gardens is set to kick off in style on February 22, and is a faultless day of dance in the Sydney summer.

Untitled Group have once again successfully attained the lease for one of Australia’s most unique & exciting event spaces. Melbourne’s iconic Wool Store Warehouse, which has previously hosted world class talents Solomon, Jamie Jones, John Talabot, Willaris. K, and DMA’s, will host a series of revered events in 2020.. After laying dormant for many decades, Untitled Group will once again bring the monumental building to life fitting the space with a new world-class sound system paired with their signature meticulously curated production & set designs. Built in the 1940s, the Australian Heritage Commission (AHC) listed 'Wool Store' is of regional historical, cultural & architectural significance. The first headliner for The Wool Store’s resurgence will be announced shortly. Keep your eyes peeled on Untitled Group’s facebook page.
