The Grampians Music Festival has always celebrated homegrown talent, a nurturing festival environment and the championing of diversity with the Australian music community and with their curation of the 2020 bill, the organisers are excited to share their latest festival experience with their dedicated punter base. “I’m very proud of this lineup and what it says about the Grampians Music Festival. The Wailers Announce Australian tour! April 2020

Artists: Nicky Romero Title: Stay Label: Protocol Recordings Release date: February 07, 2020 Download / Stream Nicky Romero showcases his softer side with "Stay." Drawing upon the style of his 2019 releases like "Love You Forever" ft. Sam Martin, "Sometimes" with DallasK, and "Distance" with Olivia Holt, Romero trades in driving basslines and big-room synths for gently undulating instrumentals and a gently progressive drop in the new track. The Protocol label head pairs the dreamy melodies with emotive vocals, producing lines like "why don't we stay, and not get older like we're supposed to" that evoke the nostalgia of youthful romance. "Stay" follows Nicky's club-ready "I See" released in January as Romero's first single of the year. After taking the world by storm with early hits such as "Legacy" (with Krewella) and #1 single "I Could Be The One" (with Avicii), Nicky Romero quickly proved that his talent is ever-evolving and here to stay. After launching his Protocol Recordings imprint in 2012, the renowned performer, producer, and label head continued his personal successes with a string of high-profile releases, ranging from collabs with Mike Williams & Amba Shepherd, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, W&W, DallasK & XYLØ and Steve Aoki & Kiiara to remixes for the likes of Kygo, Rita Ora, David Guetta, Steve Aoki, Martin Garrix, Jess Glynne and more. All the while showcasing his label's roster via his weekly Protocol Radio show, Nicky Romero continues to touch down across the globe for his incredible live performances, including residencies at Las Vegas' Hakkasan and Omnia and forthcoming shows at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, ageHa in Tokio, Echostage in Washington DC, Du Arena in Abu Dhabi, Ultra Music Festival in Miami and more. ST KILDA FESTIVAL SUNDAY 9 Feb 2020 – LINEUP + MAP

Glitoris have earned a reputation as one of Australia’s most fearlessly political, uncompromising and unforgettable live acts. After extensively played and widely received singles, ‘Trump Card’, ‘Spit Hood’ and ‘The Policy’, Glitoris were crowned ‘Queens of Australian Punk’ (The Brag) and the band have wasted no time in following up with their brutal, unapologetic hard rock anthem ‘Slut Power’ (out Friday 14th February): a raging call-to-arms dealing with the insidious nature of violence against women. Straight off the back of winning the National Live Music Award (NLMA’s) for ‘Hard Rock Live Act of the Year’ (2019), 2020 sees Glitoris embark on their biggest national tour to date, starting in Alice Springs (6th March), a special International Women’s Day performance in Darwin (7th March) and finishing up in their home town of Canberra (23rd May). Bringing a brand new show to the stage, complete with a powerful new image and a rallying protest befitting our times, fans can expect the band to be at their rousing, political yet satirical best. Glitoris is Keven 007 (vocals and guitar), Andrew (Lead guitar and vocals), Malcolm (Bass and vocals) and Scott (Drums). Highly energetic, deeply political, satirical and sometimes absurd, Glitoris blends frenetic punk rock, classic hard rock riffs, metal prowess, pop harmonies and a dash of theatre with badass attitude and indelible songwriting, resulting in a unique, powerful and unrelenting musical force. Widely recognised as ‘One of the fiercest live forces in the country’ (Pile Rats), Glitoris has built an army of fans – The Gliterati - all over the country, toured extensively and performed at major national and international festivals including Groovin’ The Moo, The New Zealand Fringe Festival, Triple R Kyneton Festival and Blackwoodstock Festival (New Caledonia). Glitoris has performed as much with brand new acts as they have with established punk royalty, including Frenzal Rhomb, Regurgitator, Shonen Knife and The Meanies. The diverse, politically on-point and refreshing nature of Glitoris’ sound means they are equally at home touring and performing as headliners or major supports, at festivals or sharing bills with new pop/rock/indie acts. GLITORIS ANNOUNCE 16-DATE AUSTRALIAN NATIONAL TOUR New Single ‘Slut Power’ Out Friday 14th February

Melbourne Design Week, Australia’s leading annual international design event, today revealed the full program for its largest festival to date. Presented by Creative Victoria and the National Gallery of Victoria, the festival returns for its fourth consecutive year with more than 300 events across 11 days exploring the theme ‘How Can Design Shape Life?’ Minister for Creative Industries, Martin Foley, said: ‘From tackling e-waste to creating healthy cities and driving sustainability, design has the capacity to improve the way we live and address the challenges of our times. This year’s action-packed program extends across greater Melbourne, and to Geelong, celebrating design in all its facets and shining a light on the designers who are shaping our lives – now and in the future.’ Tony Ellwood AM, Director, NGV, said: ‘Melbourne Design Week provides an exceptional opportunity for audiences to experience a diverse selection of keynote lectures, exhibitions and talks by the who’s who of the local, national and international design sector. This celebration of innovation and ideas showcases the best in global design practice in the design capital of Australia.’ Melbourne Design Week responds to a growing appetite for meaningful engagement with the design industry, providing a platform for designers and artists to express, question, propose and test ideas. The 2020 festival poses the question ‘How Can Design Shape Life?’ through five thematic pillars – Design Cultures, Waste, Healthy Cities, Waterfront, and Design Evolution. DESIGN CULTURES Life is shaped by contexts, beliefs, backgrounds and ideas that bring people together. How does design shape, and how is it shaped by, the multitude of cultures that exist in the world? Francis Kéré: Architecture Shapes Life - Internationally acclaimed architect Francis Kéré delves into his journey and shares his vision for how architecture that is collaboratively realised, rooted in traditional knowledge and specific to its context will contribute to a positive and dynamic future for Africa. Presented by NGV with Architecture Foundation Australia and the Futuna Lecture Series. Atmosphere: A Revival - A sauna installation that promotes the revival of bathing culture on the Birrarung (Yarra River). Presented by Studio Rain. Take the Cake - This exhibition showcases the 100 iconic cake designs made famous by the Australian Women’s Weekly birthday cake book. Presented by NGV and Melbourne Food and Wine Festival. Kultur-All Makaan – A three day pop-up mobile home of art and culture in Bendigo, celebrating diverse local communities. Named after a common northern European word for culture (kultur) and a Persian and African word for dwelling (Makaan) Kultur-All Makaan presents a cultural ideal of an arts institution. Presented by Punctum Inc. and Loddon Campaspe Multicultural Services. WASTE Melbourne Design Week continues its focus on the issue of waste by exploring how design can alleviate the problem of e-waste – phones, toys, electronics, lighting – or anything with a battery or a wire. E-Waste Challenge Live Pitch Final, Victorian Design Challenge 2020 - Creative Victoria and NGV are offering $25,000 in prizes for the best design idea addressing the problem of e-waste. A challenge jury, chaired by Craig Reucassel from the ABC’s War on Waste, will review design solutions to tackle the 40 million tons of e-waste produced globally every year. Presented by NGV. Bas van Abel: Dark Matter - The mobile phone is a symbol of instant connectivity, but it’s clear that we’ve lost any connection with the source of how it is made, who made it, where it comes from, and the social and environmental consequences of the production process. Fairphone aims to surface the dark matter of our production systems and make it human again. This keynote lecture by Fairphone founder Bas van Abel is a unique chance to think about the ways that design-led business can transform the environment and economy. Presented by NGV, EWaste Watch Institute and Design Institute of Australia Melbourne 2030 - Transforming From A Consumer To A Producer – An investigation into how it is possible to transform Greater Melbourne from a consumer to a producer by the year 2030. Presented by Finding Infinity. HEALTHY CITIES Design is increasingly redressing the problems of urbanisation and proposing ways to improve health for humans, animals, plants and beyond. Melbourne Design Week examines the effects of increasing urbanisation and how we can foster healthy cities. A Royal Commission into the State of Australian Cities - Part theatre, part panel discussion, this hypothetical Royal Commission delves into the most pressing issues facing the planning of our cities. Presented by Oculus. Empathy: A Design Challenge Exhibition - The Gordon TAFE Gallery in Geelong presents works by design students from across Victoria addressing the importance of empathy in the initial design process.  Transformative Landscapes: Reshaping the City that Shapes Us - In this symposium, design and health experts explore the role of landscape architecture, urban design and planning in making healthful urban environments. Presented by Foreground. MTalks: Density, Public Space and Happiness - Design studio NH Architecture hosts a panel discussion of the role and future of public facilities in urban developments. Presented by MPavilion. DESIGN EVOLUTION Explore a new wave of design thinking, from speculative structures, systems and materials, to breakthrough approaches to practice, urban resilience and social impact. Ellen Broad, Artificial Intelligence: Made By Humans - Telstra Creativity and Innovation Keynote - AI influences our lives whether we notice it or not. But how impartial are these decisions and where does the ‘intelligence’ come from? Ellen Broad demystifies data, machine learning and information processing to reveal the very human intelligence driving AI. Presented by Telstra and NGV. Australian Furniture Design Award 2020 Exhibition – Award finalists will be exhibited in the Stylecraft Melbourne showroom during Melbourne Design Week. Presented by NGV and Stylecraft. Aurum - A moving-image installation that examines the complex relationship of humans with gold, and its power to transform societies. Presented by Georgia Nowak and Eugene Perepletchikov. Deep Dive: Sea Urchin Snorkel Tour - Tour Port Phillip Bay with Dr Pirjo Haikola and witness the exploding population of sea urchins living below the surface. Presented by Open House Melbourne. The Western Treatment Plant Tour - Much more than a 'poo farm', the Western Treatment plant is a place of historic, environmental and cultural significance. Presented by Open House Melbourne and Melbourne Water. I'm on a (Port of Melbourne) Boat! - Step aboard and see Australia’s busiest port from a whole new angle. Presented by Open House Melbourne and Port of Melbourne. COLLECTIBLE DESIGN Many of Australia’s leading practitioners are experimenting with new materials, geometry, digital design, fabrication and concepts to shape contemporary design. Lighting, furniture, objects, fashion, architecture, textiles and contemporary jewellery will feature in exhibitions focusing on collectible design.     Designwork 04: Danielle Brustman - The fourth exhibition in an ongoing series dedicated to presenting the best contemporary Australian design. This solo exhibition of new works by Melbourne-based designer Danielle Brustman encompasses interior, furniture, lighting and object design. Presented by Sophie Gannon Gallery. A&A: Exquisite Corpse/Cadavre Exquis - The debut exhibition from A&A, industrial designer Adam Goodrum and straw marquetry artisan Arthur Seigneur, presents three new and unique design pieces. Presented by Tolarno Galleries. Life and Death - Urns made from soil, screens made from urine fed bacteria, chandeliers made from cracked phone screens and sending artworks into space – this exhibition presents projects by Australian creative practitioners exploring life and death. Presented by Friends and Associates. Monolith - A furniture exhibition that reflects on how mass production in city buildings shapes our lives. Presented by James Howe. Partu (Skin) by Johnny Nargoodah and Trent Jansen - A collaboration between remote cattle-station saddler Johnny Nargoodah and conceptual object designer Trent Jansen is an experiment in avant-garde furniture design working with animal skins. Melbourne Design Week 2020, Australia’s largest international design festival, launches full program 12-22 March 2020 | NGV International, NGV Australia and locations across Melbourne and Victoria

Where are you currently based and what is the music scene like there? I live in a town called Okotoks which is about 15 minutes south of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Considering its size, Okotoks’ music scene is quite impressive; we have 3 artists local to Okotoks that regularly visit Nashville and are pursuing active careers in music; and beyond that, an abundance of live shows and performers. And of course, Calgary is just a hop away and there is a really active and vibrant music community there.  What's been happening recently? Well, I’ve been napping a lot. Other than that, I just signed a management deal with a new company that I have a tremendous amount of faith in. I released a single with a video in January - and I have an album coming out in February. Oh and I’m pregnant, which is also a trip.  Your new single 'My Heart Song' is out now, what influenced the sound and songwriting? Yes! It feels good to finally have it out in the open. It was written during a depression that was really lengthy, dark, and uncomfortable for me… there were times I doubted my ability to overcome it. “My Heart Song” was the light at the end of the tunnel. The reminder that there’s always something there supporting you if you listen deeply enough. The sound came really naturally when we went to produce it. It fell together with very little shaping. There’s a lot of me that feels that this song was very much just meant to be what it is.  How did you go about writing 'My Heart Song’? The lyric landed on the page: “My heart knows things that I don’t” … as if my pen had a mind of its own. And it just kept writing. It was the start of me seeing the light within the dark. I knew something was shifting. That song helped me more than anything else could at that time. I’m incredibly grateful for it.  Where and when did you record and who with? Oh you’re testing my memory! I am so bad with dates. “My Heart Song” was in fact the final song recorded for this album. We finished it in August of 2019 if I’m not mistaken. It was recorded at Evergreen Sound which is a studio in north Calgary. My producer’s name is Mark Troyer, and I could write a page-long testimonial about how much I love him and love working with him.  What programs/instruments did you use to record? I am the furthest thing from an engineer, so I can’t tell you anything about the programs. (Pro Tools perhaps?) But the instruments were quite fun to play with. We had the standard bass, drums, and guitars of course - but we had some fun incorporating synths, and the amount of layering that was done with the vocals is something I really liked about this song. We used voices like instruments, my own and two other background vocalists (Mariya Stokes, Annika Cheyne) sang individual notes which were blended to make chords that sit in the background. It’s quite cool if you have keen ears and can break out all the sounds.  Does the finished track sound as you imagined it would? It’s clichéd to say it sounds better, isn’t it? I’m a cliché. It’s more than I expected from it. Truly.  You have an album on the way, what can we expect? A little bit of everything! I’m so happy with how this project turned out. It felt like such an opportunity to stretch my creative legs. I have some modern-country sounds on there, a song that has sort of a Bruno Mars vibe, some really raw and broken down songs. It’s sort of a buffet of music. I am lovingly referring to it as my Frankenstein Project.  When will you be releasing the album? Feb 20, 2020. Aka: 02.20.2020 (because I am a numerological nerd like that).  Who are you listening to at the moment? I have really eclectic tastes, so it really depends on the day and where I am. If I’m at home I’ll listen to swing jazz, at the gym I like to listen to pop (T-Swizzle and Ariana Grande ftw) and break down the production, vocals, writing, and sounds; and if I’m in the car… I like audiobooks. (Russell Brand is my current listen.)  Please tell us about your blogging: Blogging was a vice and coping mechanism that was created in a period of time when I was unable to use my voice. I had an 18-month period in which I had such severe vocal fatigue that not only was it difficult to sing, it was difficult to speak. I actually went weeks without speaking much at all. To be honest, I think I was the only one who suffered during this time… Ha! Writing was something I could do when I couldn’t talk. It became a huge outlet for this pent-up creative expression that had nowhere to go when my voice was unable to be of service.  I write about life mostly, and the things that I learn and observe in my life experiences. I’m quite candid (sometimes to the degree that might make some people uncomfortable) and I incorporate a lot of humour. My goal is to unearth some of the more ‘human’ parts of being human so that we can all feel less bad about having the experiences we do. Humans feel bad about being human all the time. It’s a bummer; so I like to make it less of one. And hopefully make people laugh while doing so.  What's planned for 2020? Well. I’m having a kid. So that’s a trip. My hubs and I are expecting our first in April so I’m sort of writing off the rest of the year as ’to be determined’ because I’ve never had a kid before, so I haven’t a clue what to expect. I think I’ve changed maybe 3 diapers my whole life. So this will be the most epic, high-stakes science experiment ever.  Before April rolls around I’m releasing this album - and I’ve got a handful of local shows planned to premiere all the music included on the album and a few of the songs that didn’t make it. I’m really proud of this show and I was extremely diligent about putting it together. I’m really excited to share it with everyone.  Favourite food and place to hangout?   My favourite food is usually sushi. But since they don’t really let knocked-up broads have that… lately, I would give the ring finger on my right hand for a burger. Not sure why, but I have had the most epic addiction to burgers over the past handful of months.  My favourite place to hang out is at HOME. Because I’m a hermit. Or the mountains on a really great hiking trail. Because: hermit. @tanyaryanxo on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter

Frontier Touring are thrilled to announce one of music’s most influential and commanding bands, Californian five-piece Faith No More, will tour Australia and New Zealand in May 2020, performing seven arena shows – one show only in each city – in their biggest venues ever down under. These will be Faith No More’s first international gigs worldwide since 2015. Unbelievably, the last time FNM performed their very own standalone headline tour in Australia was 1997 – 23 years ago. “Faith No More has taken many twists and turns over the years, and both Australia and New Zealand have been with us every step of the way; this is something that we have always appreciated. Nevertheless, we realise that it’s been 20 years since our last proper tour there. If we wait another 20, we’ll be in our 70’s. This shit stops NOW!” – Bill Gould, Faith No More ‘Epic’, ‘Falling To Pieces’, ‘Ashes To Ashes’, ‘Easy’, ‘Midlife Crisis’, ‘War Pigs’, ‘Digging The Grave’, ‘Sunny Side Up’... Faith No More’s pioneering, genre-defining career saw the band morph from cult underground heroes to boundary-pushing global chart-toppers, mixing metal to alt-rock to hip-hop to punk and much, much more. Fans are encouraged to sign up to take part in the Frontier Members Pre-sale, which kicks off on Monday 10 February – see the website for staggered pre-sale start times. ANNOUNCE AUSTRALIA & NEW ZEALAND ARENA TOUR – MAY 2020 FIRST GIGS WORLDWIDE IN FIVE YEARS WITH SPECIAL GUESTS RVG TICKETS ON SALE WEDNESDAY 12 FEBRUARY

After the reception that the debut ‘DJ Bone & Friends’ received in 2019, Bone is now bringing his new concept to the fore in 2020. The first DJ Bone and Friends of 2020 takes place at RADION Amsterdam on the 20th March where Bone takes to the decks with the godfather of the French Acid House scene Laurent Garnier. With Amsterdam Bone’s longstanding European base for the last 3 1/2 years and having close relationship with the city and its clubbers RADION served as the ideal venue where he is given complete licence to explore the full force of his creativity. First meeting 25 years ago Bone and Garnier formed a long lasting friendship. Bone opened for Garnier in Detroit on a system which left a lot to be desired, both artists used innovative tricks to make it work, impressed by each others techniques a close bond was formed. Garnier told Bone that he should pursue a full time career as a DJ - much to Bones bemusement - and promising to bring him to Europe. Fast forward 3 months and Bone arrived in Paris to play his first international set at Rex club. Its this connection, formed on the dancefloor which captures the spirit of the DJ Bone & Friends, that carries through in the magical electric atmosphere which makes these parties unique. For many Bone and Garnier acted as introductory points to the real underground electronic music scene and its testament to their credibility and that they remain so to this day. It is this sense of community and togetherness that captures the vibe and energy that make up the core principles that DJ Bone & Friends was founded on. And so Laurent Garnier was the perfect first guest to kick off the 2020 series of parties. With such a deep grounding in the scene and a wealth of records to draw from, Bone and Garnier will be digging deep into their archives for a rich array of music to soundtrack the 8 Hour session with the two of them rolling from opening to close. Be sure to grab a ticket for the first DJ Bone & Friends of 2020, with more to dates to follow across the rest of the year, it is a party you will want to be a part of. www.dj-bone.com  www.instagram.com/djbone313  https://www.facebook.com/DJBoneAndFriends

Techno don Reinier Zonneveld looks set for a massive hit with his latest track, which reworks the stunning melody made famous by PPK’s 1998 smash ‘Resurrection’.    Zonneveld made his remix of the trance classic to play in his live sets, and it proved to be so popular that he felt it simply had to be released. He and his team set about trying to find the rightsholder of the original melody so that they could license it.    This journey led them not to PPK, but to the original composer: the now 82 year old Russian electronic music pioneer, Edward Artemiev. He wrote the melody for the soundtrack of a 1979 movie called ‘Siberiade’. Zonneveld wrote him a letter asking if he could grant him permission to release his take on the melody. Listening to Reinier’s new interpretation of ‘Resurrection’, Artemiev was immediately sold and approved it to release.    One of the earliest composers to adopt the synthesiser, Artemiev has a pioneering legacy that lives on through this new version that has been so skilfully crafted by Zonneveld.    Moving on to the track itself. Pummeling old skool hardcore techno kicks thump under filtered layers of bubbling synths as an ominous tone is set early on. The melodic elements tease in tense fashion as layers of hissing percussion build on top. Flashes of the distinctive riff are sparingly deployed. Then suddenly the swell comes, rising pads and dramatic synth riffs fuelling the fire as cymbal rides urge us forward. Snare rolls and acidic textures build the tension further before the rug is pulled from under us and we’re thrust into the dream-like sounds of that famous riff.    Sounding as enchanting and otherworldly as ever, these cute interweaving melodic lines soon transport you to another dimension. Filtered kick drums and heavily reverbed pad sounds interplay with percussive builds and rising acid tones, suggesting an explosive drop. Instead, the minimal approach is chosen, stripping the track down to its bare melodic basics and letting the famous hook shine. Further glorious melodic subtleties lift the track again and snare rolls push higher, but the track never reaches for excess and continues to tease throughout.   'Resurrection' is out now on Filth On Acid.

Reinier Zonneveld brings the classic ‘Resurrection’ back to life His remake of the acclaimed trance classic is out now on Filth On Acid

CAMILLE HENROT: PLAY YOUR PART 22 May 2020 – 4 Oct 2020, 10am - 5pm | Free entry | NGV International Camille Henrot, the French-born, New York City-based contemporary artist, will be celebrated in an Australian-first survey of works that take a playful and inventive approach to addressing existential questions, in May 2020. The exhibition will feature recent watercolours that explore aspects of human psychology, and the artist’s Interphones series of telephone sculptures that playfully draw attention to our relationship to authority and technology. In these interactive works, Henrot invites visitors to pick up a customised telephone and respond to prompts such as ‘Would you ever have sex at work? Is Google right about you? Are you gluten-free? Press control for yes. Enter for no.’ Featuring key works created by the artist over the past decade, Camille Henrot: Play Your Part will include the immersive room-scale installation The Pale Fox 2014, a companion piece to Henrot’s award-winning film Grosse Fatigue 2013, for which she won the Silver Lion at the 55th Venice Biennale. Grosse Fatigue attempted to tell the story of the universe whereas The Pale Fox is a meditation on our shared desire to understand the world intimately through the objects that surround us. Characterised by what Henrot has called a ‘cataloguing psychosis’, this vast installation features en masse more than 500 objects encompassing photographs, sculptures, books and drawings, including objects made by the artist as well as collected via eBay. IVAN DURRANT: BARRIER DRAW 1 May – 25 October 2020, 10am - 5pm | Free entry | The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia   Ivan Durrant, a leading exponent of photorealism, and natural raconteur, will be celebrated in a major survey paying tribute to five decades of his extraordinarily diverse career since the 1970s, at The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia from 1 May 2020.  Ivan Durrant: Barrier Draw is the most comprehensive survey of Durrant’s work to date. Featuring over 100 multi-disciplinary works from the Melbourne-born artist, the exhibition will also unveil a new larger-than-life sculpture inspired by his controversial back catalogue. Drawn extensively from Durrant’s personal collection, the exhibition also includes major works from public and private collections from across Australia.  ‘A prolific artist and provocateur, Ivan Durrant has created one of the most audacious bodies of work in Australian art,’ said Tony Ellwood AM, Director, NGV. ‘With his work first exhibited at the NGV in 1979, we’re delighted to welcome Ivan back to pay tribute to his extensive career and provide a platform to unveil an unmissable new work.’ The exhibition chronicles the evolution of Durrant’s diverse career, including his earliest folk paintings depicting an idyllic childhood in the countryside, which were a sharp contrast to his own experiences having grown up in an orphanage; his realist paintings, short films and sculptures of the 1970s and 80s, including his race track and movie star series; politically motivated installation works including Butcher Shop 1977/78, held in the NGV Collection; and more recent evocative ‘soft-focus’ paintings of the 1990s and 2000s.  PLANS FOR THE PLANET: OLAF BREUNING FOR KIDS 29 May 2020 – 4 October 2020, 10am - 5pm | Free entry | NGV International Contemporary artist Olaf Breuning presents a large-scale participatory exhibition for children that plays to young people’s universal love of adventure and theme parks while referencing Breuning’s thoughts about life. Drawing from popular culture and inspired by the artist’s love of video games and movies from his youth such as Jurassic Park, the exhibition is an adventure of self-discovery.   WE CHANGE THE WORLD 8 May 2020 – April 2021, 10am - 5pm | Free entry | The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia Tackling global issues including climate, tolerance and social change, today’s children and young people are arguably the leading activists of our time, urging the world to think about how our actions are influencing our future. We Change the World takes the positive influence of this generation on shaping our worldview and, through the work of contemporary artists and designers, explores how creativity and expression is important at personal, community and global levels. The exhibition encourages all visitors, and especially school students and young people, to engage with the work of prominent Australian and international artists from the NGV Collection who focus on some of the big issues of today as well as celebrating everyday life. We Change the World highlights the contribution of creative minds and challenges us to consider our own potential for change, empowering young people, but also those of all ages, with the permission to be creative, speak up or speak differently.
