Thanks again for making it happen. Look forward to doing more! Thanks!! Where are you currently based and what is the music scene like there? Los Angeles, Fairfax area. If Soundcloud rap had a neighborhood it would be right where I live which is cool cause you see the new trends right away but there are a lot of copy cat artists too. How did you first start playing music and what has brought you to this point in your career? I started playing guitar when I was 9 years old, I knew even from that age that all I was going to do was music I just loved it so intensely from the beginning. When I was younger I played in a few different bands then I started rapping later on when I realized that my real passion was writing and storytelling. I’ve tried and failed a million times but I never give up thats whats got me to this point. How would you describe your music? Its a mix of hip hop, punk rock. How do you go about writing music? I try not to think about it I just get in the studio and say whats on my mind keep it authentic, for the more emotional songs I wait to feel really emotional about something then I just sit and write What or who influences your sound? Literally everything how I’m feeling to if I want a song for the crowd to go crazy to. Who are you listening to at the moment? So far gone by drake a lot and the new A boogie wit da hoodie album a lot How did the collaboration with Playboi Carti come about? I met him thru Hit boy who is a good friend of mine in LA I messaged hit boy randomly to see who he was recording with and he mentioned carti. We had just finished a new track that we thought would be perfect for him so I came thru the studio and vibed out first and ended up doing the track. You're currently on tour in Europe with Smokepurpp, what have you found most challenging and rewarding so far? Its challenging to make it to every flight on time lol I miss more flights than anyone. Playing new songs live and seeing kids go crazy to them has been most rewarding for sure. Any secrets that you care to share? Im about to drop some crazy new music that’ll change your life forever What have you been working on recently? I just finished up my first project thats going to be released in the next few months. What do you like to do away from music? I like to watch Austin powers and the matrix over and over again. What do you have planned for 2019? What happens when two of The Netherlands most innovative producers team up with one of the USA’s leading dance music lights? ‘EDM O’Clock’ is the answer. A monstrous collaboration between three talented minds — TV Noise and Dillon Francis — it’s finding a very worthy home on STMPD RCRDSand is already doing big damage on the dancefloors. Some deep filter action teases in what’s about to come in the intro. Soon we can hear big horn blast samples and on-beat claps creating a big wall of sound as energetic MC vocals amp things up even more. A vocal announces “it’s EDM O’ Clock” and a quick snare build pushes us over the edge into a crazy bass house groove where skipping percussion does battle with metallic drum fills, thumping bass and squelching synth tones. After the epic main build comes an unexpected half-time section, with another powerful horn riff blasting away over dubstep-style synths and chugging beats. This larger-than-life track is guaranteed to stand out in any set. TV Noise are regular contributors to STMPD RCRDS with their crazy intense sounds. This year is looking great for the guys, with them already confirmed to play Ultra Miami, Creamfields UK, Lollapalooza Berlin, OMNIA and Wet Republic in Las Vegas amongst many more festivals and cool clubs. Multiplatinum DJ/producer and Latin GRAMMY nominee, Dillon Francis makes a perfect collaborator for them. A topline performer at Coachella 2019 — where he’ll play for the fourth time — he just wrapped his US co-headlining ‘Lost My Mind’ tour alongside Alison Wonderland, with over 50,000 tickets sold and numerous sold-out shows along the 15-city tour. ’Stars’ is the scorching new single from Melbourne-via-Sydney-via-Perth based ratbag Denise Le Menice (AKA Ali Flintoff). As premiered on triple j's Home & Hosed last night, the single stays true to Ali’s self-described pop/shoegaze style (Kylie meets Dandy Warhols) but takes flight thanks to her blistering lead guitar and the dreamiest and poppiest of all dream-pop melodies. ‘Stars’ follows on from Denise Le Menice’s debut single ‘Heart’, which was released to resounding acclaim by Barely Dressed Records and Remote Control at the end of 2018. Listen to ‘Stars’ here: https://denise-le-menice.lnk.to/stars Ali’s remarkable gift for melody combined with the weight of her playing makes ’Stars’ irresistible. Ali describes ‘Stars’ as a song which encapsulates that feeling of finally feeling happy again – after having been in a period of total darkness. Ali wrote the song in Wollongong of all places - “I was staying at a friend’s house during tour and I was listening to the new Beach House album. I then got so inspired to write - I immediately demo’d half the song there, and then finished the other half in Hobart during a massive storm”. Also released today is the video for ‘Stars’, a hilarious and adorable montage of clips of Ali as a young kid – edited from her family’s own home footage. The video symbolises a time of pure innocence and happiness – which the song itself is aiming to capture. Having toured extensively in 2018 (as Denise Le Menice and with her previous punk rock outfit BOAT SHOW), Ali is now heading overseas to perform for the first time at SXSW in Austin. Before she leaves she will be playing a headline show in Melbourne to celebrate the release of ‘Stars’. All show details below.

Laced with Alu's warmth and laid back flair, 'Finally' channels his Polynesian culture's respect for elders and explores the ageing process of dealing with an expanding mind as the body declines. Musically, the single sees Alu experiment with a slightly altered sound, pairing a slinky beat with simple yet spirited guitar and bass work, topped with his signature alluring vocal tone. Alu himself admits the track was a change in his sound, "the final version of this song is quite different to the usual Bobby Alu sound, and I’m pretty proud of that. Making this song was kind of like getting old – we were really not sure what was going to happen." Whilst 2019 is looking to be a massive year for the Byron Bay folk star, 2018 was also full of hard work and many achievements for Bobby Alu. From performing at the Commonwealth Games before a 24-date Australasian headline tour, he then ventured around the globe with supporting roles on three European tours with John Butler Trio, Nahko & Trevor Hall and The Beautiful Girls (hitting festivals including Boardmasters (UK), MadNes (Netherlands) and Kleinlaut (Switzerland) along the way). Alu also had the honour of being the first to perform Parlour house shows in the US, before returning home to Australia to support reggae legends UB40 and The Beautiful Girls. 2018 also saw the release of QMA-nominated 'Move', as well as previous single 'Other Side', earning adds to attracted adds to Double J and ABC Local Radio. Despite performing in the shadows as Xavier Rudd's percussionist for some time, there's no doubt that Bobby Alu is quickly becoming a household name in his own right. 8PM SATURDAY, 27 APRIL 2019 THE GERSHWIN ROOM, HOTEL ESPLANADE ANNOUNCE: 9am – Thursday, 28 February 2019 ON SALE: 9am - Friday, 1 March 2019 TICKET PRICE: $73.90 + b/f // $80 door (if available) In a celebration of one of Melbourne’s most iconic music venues, Jungle have today announced their most intimate Victorian show to date at St Kilda’s recently restored Hotel Esplanade, AKA The Espy. The Espy’s music programming has gone from strength to strength since the venue’s reopening in November last year, with sell out shows from the likes of Ruby Fields, Lime Cordiale, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, and high energy punk outfit, The Chats. Keeping true with the Espy of old, they have also hosted iconic Australian acts such as Cosmic Psychos, Tumbleweed, and Daryl Braithwaite. Now, the UK-based group Jungle will bring their immune to categorisation, sun-drenched sounds to The Espy’s iconic Gershwin Room. It’s been a long time coming for Jungle fans who have not seen the British outfit grace Australian shores since they hit up Splendour in the Grass way back in 2014. The eagerly anticipated Antipodean tour was announced in the wake of the follow up to their self titled Mercury Prize nominated debut record, which featured binge worthy tracks such as Busy Earnin’ and The Heat. Titled For Ever the new album describes the band’s Californian Dream and the reality check of actually living it – the feeling of being adrift on the West Coast compounded by the collapse of long-term relationships. The silver lining for Josh “J” Lloyd-Watson and Tom “T” McFarland (the duo who dreamt up Jungle’s inimitable sound) is what they lost in love, they gained in music with future hits House In LA and Happy Man. For Ever is deeper, more intimate, occasionally melancholic, but still abundant with feel good beats from the gurus of neon soul. With a strong synth game, powerful vocals and intimate hooks, tickets to Jungle’s Gershwin Room show are strictly limited. Where are you currently based and what is the music scene like there? I live in Palermo, Sicily. A charming and controversial city in the middle of the Mediterranean, source of most of my artistic inspiration. Its art scene is vibrant and growing faster each year, and it’s rich of singer-songwriter who choose very different styles, moods and even languages. It’s like Berlin in the 80’s, but warm and on an Island in the Med. This spring you'll will releasing 'Lights', your new album that was recorded and produced by Dani Castelar (Paolo Nutini/Editors/REM) in Valencia and at Studio Indigo in Palermo - a studio that is fast becoming one of the most popular music hubs in Italy.   Please tell how what influenced the sound and songwriting for 'Lights’? Teamwork at its best. And the team includes my engineer, Francesco Vitaliti, and the band (Carmelo Drago, Donato Di Trapani and Adam Dawson). I can’t believe we’ve been together for such a short time (a couple of weeks) and yet so much on the same wavelength on the choices regarding arrangements and sounds. Everything was so fresh, I would even write the lyrics at the same time as we were tracking the final takes for the songs. The album is made up of 11 love songs, all dealing with empathy, union, betrayal, sex. The colors are shiny and lively though. How did you come to work with Dani Castelar? I hired him for my previous album, “Of Shadows”. I looked up for producers who had made some of my favorite contemporary albums and he was number 1 in the list. Turns out he was the first to answer my email, with the most enthusiasm and will to experiment. Since day one we created a bond that made him one of my best friends and the only producer I want to work with at the moment. What was it like working between the two studios in Valencia and Palermo? We did the most of the band tracking in Valencia, in a country house studio among the orange groves. We were isolated, and that made us do a great job, I guess. Most of the vocals were tracked in Palermo, in a completely different situation, as Indigo Studios are in the historical city center, an area which vibrates with people all day and night, a constant stimulus source. My songs were all about stories around those streets, so it was vital for me to daily alternate the lyrics-writing, the recording takes and the real Palermo life. What programs / equipment did you use to record? You have to ask our producer Dani Castelar and engineer Francesco Vitaliti that regarding. They’ll be happy to answer. How do you usually go about writing music? I only write about my own experiences. Love, loss, happiness, seduction… I don’t have the slightest control over my creative process. As far as I’m concerned, every song could be my last. So far, I’ve been lucky enough to have a healthy long-term relationship with Miss Inspiration. Is the end result of 'Lights' the same as you imagined it to be when you first started the recording process? I was open to anything. I entered the studio with literally no songs, except for a couple of vague harmonic ideas. The flow during the recording was so smooth that today I think this album was meant to be just like it is. There is no other way. You've been touring the USA and Europe, what do you find most challenging and rewarding when touring and is there much of a difference between touring in the US as compared to Europe? I’m very lucky, I always perform in front of audiences that are there to be involved in my world. From country to country, they react in different manners, but I always see this involvement, the aim of my performance is to take the listener out of his/her comfort zone and raise into them the same questions, fears, joys that brought me to write this or that song. I don’t want my music to be relaxing, I want it to be a soul-investigation self-practice though catharsis. I want to inspire tears and laughter, resentment and forgiveness, joy and pain, memories and oblivion. What have you been working on recently? I’m currently planning a book and a record based on Leonard Cohen’s youth, together with my friend and fellow singer-songwriter Dimartino. We’ve worked on something similar regarding Mexican singer Chavela Vargas ("the Latin-American Edith Piaf”…) a couple of years ago.  What do you have planned for 2019? Many gigs to bring the “Lights” tunes around the world. What do you like to do away from music? I love analog photography. I always have my Leica with me during my tours. Who are you listening to at the moment? The latest, amazing album by The Paper Kites, “On The Corner Where You Live”. Favourite food and place to hangout? Pretty easy, I’m Sicilian… Pasta! (I’m a pretty good cook too!)

I only write about my own experiences. Love, loss, happiness, seduction… I don’t have the slightest control over my creative process. As far as I’m concerned, every song could be my last. So far, I’ve been lucky enough to have a healthy long-term relationship with Miss Inspiration.

Is the end result of ‘Lights’ the same as you imagined it to be when you first started the recording process?
I was open to anything. I entered the studio with literally no songs, except for a couple of vague harmonic ideas. The flow during the recording was so smooth that today I think this album was meant to be just like it is. There is no other way.

You’ve been touring the USA and Europe, what do you find most challenging and rewarding when touring and is there much of a difference between touring in the US as compared to Europe?

We’ve worked on something similar regarding Mexican singer Chavela Vargas (“the Latin-American Edith Piaf”…) a couple of years ago.

On Friday 26th April, Reptaliens will release their second LP VALIS via Captured Tracks / Remote Control Records. Today, they share a self-directed video for the single 'Shuggie II,' a collage of vignettes portraying various human archetypes – as they might be perceived by someone not-of-this-Earth. The Portland-based group cites sci-fi, empathy and introspection as inspirations for VALIS, a contemplative answer to 2017’s analytical, outward-looking LP FM-2030. Such a switch in perspective is fitting for a musical outfit whose original motive was creating music to be shared between and for the two founding members Cole and Bambi Browning (who also happen to be married). A synopsis of 'Shuggie II' from the band’s Cole Browning: "The video for 'Shuggie II' cycles through an alien’s understanding of various Earthly archetypes--each one portrayed by a different band member--culled from a collection of short stories. Together, the individual characters create a Village People-type vibe and it was fun to lean into that concept and see how everyone reacted to their assigned roles. Our dog, Hambone, kept running in front of the green screen and getting in the way of shots, so we decided the only option was to add him into the video. He's chillin' with the alien because dogs are aliens too." Watch: Reptaliens 'Shuggie II' Stream / Purchase: https://RemoteControl.lnk.to/reptaliens-shuggieII Reptaliens - VALIS 1. Sunrise, Sunset 2. SHARES HYPNOTIZING MUSIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE BE LIKE ME FEATURING LIL WAYNE Modern icon and history-making teenage superstar Lil Pump—who has cracked the social media code to become the most viral artist to date— has unleashed his anxiously awaited follow-up to his self-titled debut and one of the year’s most anticipated albums, Harverd Dropout. Bringing hip-hop back to school, Lil Pump and YouTube preceded the album’s arrival with an immersive Harverd Dropout activation in Los Angeles. The young icon personally invited fans, friends, and tastemakers to attend “Pump University.” Like everything he does, it proved to be a larger-than-life experience on par with his outsized personality and persona. He set the stage for this extravaganza with the original YouTube series Pump University, in which he shares a series of hilarious “Lil Lessons.” You have to see it to believe it. He also enabled fans to get their own diploma from Pump University online at this LINK. In celebration of the album, he just dropped the Sophie Muller (Beyonce, Coldplay, Björk) directed music video for Be Like Me [feat. Lil Wayne]. In the video, everyone wants to be like Pump, including senior citizens, animals, and nine-year-old celebrity impersonator, Riley Dashwood. The on-camera chemistry between Lil Pump and Lil Wayne is electrifying! Over a kinetic beat and thick bassline, Pump serves up clever and catchy verses before the immediately unshakable hook, “Everybody wanna be like me.” Meanwhile, Lil Wayne fires off a powerhouse cameo highlighted by otherworldly bars and signature next level flows. Watch the hypnotizing video HERE. To promote the single and album, Pump pushed the envelope even further with his unconventional concepts, unprecedented antics, and meme-able moments. On music’s biggest night, Lil Pump unleashed an army of his look-a-likes onto the 61stGrammy Awards. His very own “Harverd Dropouts” rode to the event on a decked-out purple Harverd Dropout bus and made their grand entrance sporting Be Like Me outfits. Next week Lil Pump graces the stage of Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! with what promises to be a blockbuster performance of new single Be Like Me. Harverd Dropout lives up to Pump’s promise to have “saved da rap game.” The explosive Racks On Racks amassed over 19 million YouTube views, while Pitchfork described the video as “wild” and “fast-paced.” The album includes a bevy of high-profile guests, ranging from enduring rap royalty such as Kanye West and 2 Chainz to fellow trailblazers Offset and Lil Uzi Vert, and hypnotic bangers as the star maintains his place at the forefront of hip-hop with endless attitude and no-effs given… “ESSKEETIT!!!!!!” FOLLOW LIL PUMP FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | YOUTUBE | SPOTIFY

Harverd Dropout lives up to Pump’s promise to have “saved da rap game.” The explosive Racks On Racks amassedover 19 million YouTube views, while Pitchfork described the video as “wild” and “fast-paced.” The album includes a bevy of high-profile guests, ranging from enduring rap royalty such as Kanye West and 2 Chainz to fellow trailblazers Offset and Lil Uzi Vert, and hypnotic bangers as the star maintains his place at the forefront of hip-hop with endless attitude and no-effs given…

What is your name and role within the band? My name is Josh Stewart; I guess you could say I am the captain of the ship. As the song-writing/recording component - which is a solo endeavour and exists separately from performing live with my band. I am responsible for all facets of the project, from liaising with booking agents and venues, to recording and promoting each release. Where are you currently based and what is the music scene like there? I’m based on the beautiful Sunshine Coast. The music scene is growing strong here, we’ve got some great festivals in the Maroochy Music & Visual Arts Festival, Caloundra Music Festival, the Big Pineapple Festival, Jungle Love and a bunch of other rad ones popping up every now and then. Venue wise I’d have to give a little shout out to Maroochydore’s Solbar, it won a QMA for venue of the year last year and has been nominated again this year. Well-deserved too because the whole crew absolutely shred. There are always rad bands playing there every single week without fail. Your last two singles ’You Never Made It Easy’ & ‘Wait For You’ have amassed over half a million streams, what do you attribute to the success of these tracks? It definitely required a bit of effort, I made sure I had a great team helping me to try and get each release as successful as possible, and I was very lucky to get some support from the editorial staff at Spotify and Apple Music. I have also been very fortunate to get support from a lot of independent playlist curators and music blogs, which are really vital to getting exposure. The Internet is crazy, if people genuinely like the song it really only takes a handful of blogs and playlist adds for the word to spread. Where and when did you record both tracks? I recorded ‘You Never Made it Easy’ in my home studio (which is where I record 99% of the time), ‘Wait for You’ was demo’d here too but sent to my good pal and producer Elliot Heinrich, who finished it up. What or who influences your sound? If I’m writing a song that has a lot of guitar in it, chances are it’s going to sound a lot like a band from the 2000s. The Killers, the Strokes, the Vines, Interpol… too many years of listening to those bands has shaped my taste, I like my guitars distorted and fuzzy. That said, I have so much music that maybe doesn’t fit High Tropics, but for the sake of this project’s influences let’s go with said bands. How do you usually go about writing music? For me the recording/writing process happen at the same time. It’s a good way to capture any ideas and see if they’re worth pursuing, but in a broader perspective there’s no set way. Sometimes I’ll write and hit a wall, and there’s been quite a few songs I’ve finished by transposing other parts of unfinished songs. Sometimes it’s far easier, like in the case of ‘Feel the Same’, I picked up the guitar and that riff and melody just came flowing out of me. I ended up tracking the skeleton of the song over the next day or two. The band represented Australia at Project Aloft Star Asia Competition 2018, how did this come about? I think I saw a video of ‘Dyso’ (Alex Dyson) advertising the competition. It was pretty straight forward, leave a link to a Soundcloud track or two, they had a judging panel that deliberated the entries, and then voila a few weeks later I got a phone call and wasn’t sure if it was a stitch up. To be honest, we’re still not sure if it actually happened or if it was just a dream. What did you find most challenging and rewarding during the competition? There were a number of challenges, the language barrier, free alcohol, little sleep, but that was all offset by the whole experience; the most rewarding of which was having our first international performance and meeting some absolutely amazing people we wouldn’t of got the chance to otherwise. It was a once in a lifetime trip, and Aloft Hotels and UMG took such good care of us, I’ll be forever grateful for the opportunity. What have you been working on recently? I’ve been pretty busy on the rollout for this most recent single, sending a lot of emails, reaching out to blogs, playlist curators and radio presenters, organising shows etc. In terms of music though, I’m always tinkering away at something. Who are you listening to at the moment? Sharon Van Etten’s new album Remind Me Tomorrow, and getting very excited for new Cage the Elephant! The band has supported Middle Kids, The Rubens and Birds of Tokyo, huge acts! Do you have a favourite show that you've played? If so which and why? Well our first show we got to support Middle Kids at a sold-out Foundry in Brisbane, it was about as epic a first show as you could get. We were on the same bill as Birds of Tokyo and the Rubens for Caloundra Music Festival, they (the Rubens) actually started playing 15 mins into our set, which coincides perfectly with our audience disappearing half way through. My favourite show would have to be our Aloft Star performance in Seoul, South Korea, because it felt so surreal and was just a magical week. How do you prepare for shows? I try to get a good night sleep the night before and stay as quiet as I can be a few hours leading up to going on stage. We like to have a light rehearsal a couple of nights before to shake the cobwebs off if we haven’t rehearsed in a while. Before hopping on stage, I like a little bit of whiskey for liquid courage ☺. What do you have planned for 2019? New music is imminent! Favourite food and place to hangout? Solbar for their fish and chips, and their diablo ginger beer – it’s so good!

WAAX RETURN WITH HUGE NEW SINGLE – ‘FU’

“WAAX have always been raw and unhinged and appeal to that side of you that wants to jump around like no one’s watching and let off some steam.” – triple j

“Just some Brisbane legends making bangers left, right, and centre.” – Hysteria Mag

“Raw emotion and power.” – Speaker TV

After making a ton of noise in 2018, WAAX are back in a big way in 2019 with their new single – ‘FU’ – out now via Dew Process and Universal Music Australia.

A study in honesty and contained intensity, ‘FU’ documents the very point WAAX moved beyond their initial genesis grounded in punk rock into an arena where they feel ready to embrace all the influences that make up the entire sum of their parts. More than anything, the song is uncompromising in its lyrical intent – wearing its anger on its sleeve in the form of a majestically dark, hooky, and riff-laden rock song, which will inevitably slide its way into your consciousness well before it delivers its weighty message.

LISTEN TO WAAX’S NEW SINGLE ‘FU’ HERE

Boasting signature searing guitar lines and an undeniably anthemic chorus, ‘FU’ makes its biggest stand as a showcase of frontwoman Maz De Vita at her powerhouse vocal best. Meanwhile, the song’s short, sharp, one-two punch title serves as the perfect descriptor for the weight with which the music and the words land.

“This song is about a situation with someone in your life who is taking advantage of you and finally having to acknowledge reality and stand up to them,” explains De Vita. “I hope it’s as cathartic for the listener as it was to write.”

‘FU’ premiered on triple j’s Good Nights, where it lit up the message boards with fans thrilled by the new WAAX material. Considering they’re backing up the release of their biggest song to date in ‘Labrador’ (#88 in the 2018 triple j Hottest 100), the pressure was undoubtedly on when the Brisbane quintet – De Vita, co-writer and guitarist Chris Antolak, guitarist Ewan Birtwell, bassist Tom ‘Griff’ Griffin and drummer Tom Bloomfield – had to serve up new music, but as you’ll hear from the outset on ‘FU,’ WAAX have delivered in spades.

WAAX have spent the last few years winning hearts and selling out national tours across the country, releasing two well-received EPs, supporting the likes of big time internationals Wolf Alice, Fall Out Boyand Biffy Clyro, and making sizable waves on the festival circuit with standout sets at Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival, Good Things and Unify Gathering. Add to that a trophy case of local music awards and it’s clear to see the band’s trajectory is on a steep and promising rise.

After signing with Australian indie label stalwart Dew Process in 2018, the Brisbane quintet first struck gold with ‘Labrador,’ after working with Australian music icon Bernard Fanning as producer, alongside Grammy-winner Nick DiDia (Bruce Springsteen, RATM, Pearl Jam). All three parties reunited to make ‘FU,’ and have clearly not finished tapping the vein they discovered in their early collaborations.

It remains to be seen what other nuggets they deliver in the near future.

NEW FULL-LENGTH ALBUM THIS LAND OUT NOW VIA WARNER BROS. RECORDS Grammy Award winner Gary Clark Jr. releases his highly anticipated, third full-length studio album This Land. Recorded in Clark’s hometown of Austin, Texas and produced by Clark and Jacob Sciba, This Land finds Clark revealing his most lyrically expressive and musically eclectic body of work to date that harnesses his explosive live energy into every song. Critics have instantly taken This Land to heart. “In 2019, Clark is an exceedingly rare figure, a bluesman who has a major-label recording contract and a worldwide audience, one he has built by tearing up stage after stage, show after show. On This Land, his third major-label studio album, his songwriting has caught up with his playing. It has something to do with experience; and it has a lot to do with America in 2019, where division, frustration and seething anger can use an outlet with the historical resonance and emotional depth of the blues.” – Jon Pareles / The New York Times “This Land is something new. The man’s prolific gifts now attached to the material with a far greater purpose than ever before. It’s the great rock-and- roll record you’ve been waiting for.” – Hits Daily Double “Gary Clark Jr. is both of the past and the future…hard-driving riffs mixed with unexpected restraint. And when he sings...light, sweet and resonant.” – Time Magazine “’This Land’… the most important song Clark has ever written. This Land [the album] ranges from Delta blues to dub reggae, Stax-style soul anthems and Prince-like epics, capturing Clark’s promise at a mind-blowing level.” – Rolling Stone Clark recently dazzled during his debut performance on Saturday Night Live, blazing his way through Pearl Cadillac and This Land.
