Twain Premieres “Little Dog Mind” at Uproxx

Twain has released the second single from his forthcoming full-length album, Rare Feeling.Uproxx premiered the track, noting that this rising artist “immediately steals your heart.” Prior to the warm online welcome, “Little Dog Mind” charmed audiences across the country as a delightfully poignant ode to an all-too-familiar sensation: mental lapse. While on the road, Twain gave a session performance as appealingly pure as the song itself, viewable here.

Twain earned notable attention for the new record when Big Thief premiered its opening track. The beloved indie rockers introduced Twain on their social media accounts as “a voice for the ineffable that must be heard.” Overwhelming support followed from artists, fans and press alike. “Solar Pilgrim” earned over 100,000 streams in its first month and situated Twain as the #1 Most Posted Artist on Hype Machine. Twain will release Rare Feeling on October 20 on Keeled Scales.

“…one of my favorite musical beings of all time – including the dead ones” – Langhorne Slim

“‘Solar Pilgrim’ is cosmic folk, bright and sparkling, but with all the caterwauling and rough bits that the most stoic traditionalist might desire.” – Uproxx

“Twain is life. His words and presence are hard to deny… he’s kind of got this cult hero status now.” – Tyler Williams of The Head and The Heart

“amazing” – Dr. Dog

“Reminiscent of Jeff Buckley, his voice wavers over a wildly romantic guitar progression. Like Twain’s career, the song is young, but it’s filled with soul and has instantly become timeless.”

– Baeble

“an artist of the deepest importance to us, a voice for the ineffable that must be heard” – Big Thief

“Twain’s music is what feelings sound like.” – Impose

“‘Solar Pilgrim’ will hypnotize you… it will take you on the kind of journey that you wished never ended.” – The Dove and The Wolf

“one of my favorite bands” – Lucy Dacus
