Jazz Café Headline Tuesday 3 October
Featuring the cosmic power-house explosion of Comet is Coming‘s ‘Rhama’ remix to the tropical-noir sounds of Meridian Brothers ‘Anya’ reworking, Glok’s (aka Andy Bell fromRide) picturesque Krautrock voyage of ‘Taboo Grooves’ and Ibibio Sound Machine‘s funked-to-the-max take on Jungle Birds Flamingods unveil ‘Majesty Remixed‘
A journey through a multitude of different genres, sounds, ideas & feelings – contorting the original sounds and taking them to new exciting landscapes that can be enjoyed on dancefloors and in bedrooms all over the world.
The release marks an end to a frenzied year of performances which has seen the band play incendiary sets at SXSW, Glastonbury, Field Day, Green Man and many many more, their last headline show of the year will take place at London’s Jazz Café on Tuesday 3 October. Tickets can be purchased here
The release is available digitally on all platforms (today) Friday 29 September and is available to download now for free from their Bandcamp page here.
Lead vocalist Kamal Rasool says of the release;
“The album features a line-up of so many bands and artists we love. We’re often told that our music is very remixable, probably due to the fact that most of our recordings have so many stems to mess around with, all of which a varied mixture of exotic instrumentations, guitars, electronics, samples, heavy portions of percussion & drums and tripped out vocal excursions.
It’s a heady pot of sounds that are perhaps fun to manipulate and turn into something wholly new and we get very excited by that prospect.”
