Cameron Avery Kicks Off North American Fall Tour

Cameron Avery, the touring bassist for Tame Impala and longtime drummer of

Pond, has recently shared his brand new album Ripe Dreams, Pipe Dreams, out now via Anti-. Grounded in soulful songwriting, multi-instrumental virtuosity, and Avery’s heart wrenching, crooning Baritone, the record challenges Avery to carry the weight of a leading man for the very first time. The result is a record that is beautiful, vulnerable, and powerful. Stream the album on Spotify here.

Underneath its orchestral arrangements and Avery’s gravely vocal, Ripe Dreams, Pipe Dreams is an album about relationships. As Noisey writes, “At once a deeply personal and universally relatable, at it’s core, this record is perfect for anyone struggling at the end of a meaningful relationship, groping through late nights and warm bodies to the next person who makes you really feel.”

The record comes out as the Perth-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has just begin to tour his own project for the very first time, using his beautiful low voice and soaring soul-pop melodies to propel his audiences through the dreamscapes he’ll create with his band.
